You are right, I didn't realize the AL ones are that dark gray. I thought it was the Ti. Either way, with the baffles and whatnot, it's still kind of impressive that they made comparable to the FMF weight. I like how the bike runs too, so for now I plan to just run it.

Always had to replace the bars on old bikes and I was always dreaming of EXCEL rims in the old days. How I wish I had a set! Then , I buy my first bike in 22 years and it came stock with Pro Taper Fat bars and EXCEL rims. WOW! I was shocked as hell. Then realized it had DID chain and SUNSTAR sprockets. I just couldnt believe how all this "good shit" was now OEM. Even quality Dunlops and not POS MX53's either.

I remember a couple years ago when Deegan and JCoop were on Star 250s, they were talking about how some of the 250 guys were on stock forks (obviously different internals), clamps, wheels etc. Pretty cool that the bikes are coming with good parts, even if they don't quite look as cool as the aftermarket stuff. I could've sworn that I saw that an off the shelf FMF 4.1 muffler is actually heavier than a stock '26 YZ450F muffler too. Which is that is really the case, that's kind of shocking. I just sold a 250F that had a ton...

So, for anyone that was there ,you already know it was another EPIC weekend of Vintage bikes and racing. The weather was almost perfect ,with a few rain showers each night, just enough to keep the tracks moist, tacky and dust free. I haven't an "official" body count , but I did hear that it was somewhere between 40,000 and 60,000 for the weekend. Swap meet was huge as usual and I was able to pick up a few pieces that I needed for this Fall/Winter builds. Notables that were there includes 4 time National Enduro Champ and AMA Hall...

Bittersweet to see that Kawasaki ad featuring Rusty Bradley. He died the next March on the first lap of the Daytona 200 as he crashed in the first turn heading into the infield. Hell yeah man. I start getting grouchy if I don't ride at least once a week. My kid and ole lady love going to the track, so I'm pretty damn lucky. My kid really started getting good on the Stryder about 2 weeks ago while we were at the track. I want to take him to one of those pump tracks. Don't have any close to my house. I'm planning on going to Webb's track one day and a pump track the next. There's a pump track close to his track.
