It's pretty ridiculous. They should just call it what it is, Supercross and Motocross and then the final 3 rounds can be Supermotocross.

On the YZ, no. It will not use the same filters. The stock filters are flat and fit sandwiches between the backfire screen and the white plastic cage that clamps in via the two metal tabs at the front of the airbox. The power flow set up replaces the backfire screen and filter cage. The filters are the dome style with the lip that wraps around the filter cage and then squeezes that between the cage and the new seating surface. Basically it turns the Yamaha filter into the same style cage-in-filter set up that pretty much everyone else uses.

i get it. feld and mx sports came together. thats cool, but supermotocross is a terrible name for the series imo. i really cant stand it. it just sounds cheesy to me. i think they should just call the extra rounds "supermotocross" and not the entire series as a whole.
