To me, Swoll was like, are you gonna fix this thing? The guys were standing around like they had no idea what to do. Seemed as if they were fine with not even attempting to get him back out there.

It's a better visual to pull off into the mechanics area and not return than to have cameras watching him push the thing off the track, or worse, because of a full on mechanical.
We can guess for a while and never get it...it's a new bike, and it may have been an issue they hadn't encountered yet and felt they should tear it down asap to learn what failed, and why.
This issue aside, I think they have a good product on the track....looking forward to more.

It looks like an electrical problem, Jason, and what I mean by that is there are electrical components on a motorcycle and one of them might have failed.
James, I'd love to hear your take, maybe you can speak on that.
...It failed when the entire clutch basket sheared off and cut through the right-side case like a buzzsaw, taking the aforementioned electrical part and ten others with it. The teardown reveals there was no spark after that.

It happens. Like when my rod snapped, slammed into the head, then smashed the gap on the spark plug closed - hence, turned into an electrical problem.
Very impressed so far. Swoll is very competitive and pulling hole shots easily.....
Maybe he leaned the bike over too far.
My guess is that by the time the east rolls back around, Triumph will be better preperated.
Or have your rider injured because you're out there on a bike that's going to fail, and you knew it.
Not long ago we had five manufacturers for years. Now things are changing and I'm all for having these new guys around. Makes the races more interesting.
whatever it is i dont think those bikes have gotten credit for how fast they seem to be off the starts. they could do some damage in the outdoors if they get some consistent riders.
I just wanna know how the electronics suppliers pissed of the factories SO badly that any and all problems get blamed on electronics?! But somehow the connecting rod suppliers get away clean, even when we see the crankshaft through the window sawed open by a broken rod?
I did that with a wheelbarrow once.
