I got a job today! to celebrate I thought I would ask if any one feels bad for them in there first race here. There had to be a lot of pressure. I do. On a positive note I see a new bike in my future.

I believe the real reason the big 4 went to aluminum frames was that they are cheaper to manufacture, fewer welds, ect. Cheaper to make and with a higher pro-sieved value, its win-win for the manufactures. Give me a good steel bike any day!

Looks like it broke were the front downtube splits above the exhaust port. Which is were some welding/fabricating is done if I am not mistaken. The brake there would have then led to the spars braking. I have quite a bit of welding/fabricating experience, ever since the aluminum frames came out I have wondered how people were going to do...
