I raced back in the 70's and early 80's, back in the day as I tell my son. Now I just work on his bikes and travel through out the Midwest having a blast in MX.

I also take a lot of "amateur" photos, but every once in a while I'll get lucky and grab a couple of decent shots.

I live in Southern Indiana, near Evansville. We race at Lincoln Trail, Echo Valley, Backwoods MX, Crossroads and try to make it to Red Bud 2 or 3 times a year.

So then how does a 2-2, beat a 1-4 for an overall? I have always wondered if they gave points 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2 for heat wins, 3-2 for LCQ and then the regular points for the mains. Maybe a little more incentive/reward, other than gate choice, for the preliminaries.

I just had to chuckle at Ralph. To me, production means when it comes off the production line, stock. I was just thinking Ralph makes it sound like he's running basically a stock bike, which is obviously not true.

I'm not sure why Ralph, RC and Fro keep saying he's not raced all his life. He may have not raced every weekend from say 3 yrs old, like James, but I've seen him pretty regularly at Loretta Lynn qualifiers since he was on 65's and 85's. He's done his fair share of racing. Maybe not like James, but probably...

Is it me, or do the tracks look narrower each week. It looked like at Indy, they would have struggled to get two bike wide at any point on the track. Jacksonville didn't look a lot wider? Realize, I just turned 50, and my vision may be goingWoohoo Woohoo

You have a good dealer then! Do they keep a lot of MX parts in stock? We had a sponsor like that, but problem was they never has stock. Always ordering...it'll be here next Thursday or Friday.
