About Me

I raced back in the 70's and early 80's, back in the day as I tell my son. Now I just work on his bikes and travel through out the Midwest having a blast in MX.

I also take a lot of "amateur" photos, but every once in a while I'll get lucky and grab a couple of decent shots.

I live in Southern Indiana, near Evansville. We race at Lincoln Trail, Echo Valley, Backwoods MX, Crossroads and try to make it to Red Bud 2 or 3 times a year.

Did Alessi's really have any other choices at that time? With several smoldering bridges behind them, maybe that was their only choice?

I thought RC said he wore a lot of Bell helmets when he was younger and they didn't fit his head correctly and the front always moved up and was constantly pulling them down, hence the habit of tugging the helmets.

I think Canard was on cruise control and got way laid by the sneaky Frenchman. Helluva a ride by Pourcel. Not a CP fan, either!!!!

Solid choices for the good Ol' USA! I believe if Stewart was picked it would be a huge injustice to every rider, team and manufacturer. Sure he's fast, or at least he was outdoors a couple of years ago, but it would hardly be fair to pick him over anyone at this point. Well to a point, maybe...

My .02... There really is no common ground. The thumpers are so much easier to go faster on, plain and simple. My son rode an RMZ250. When they allowed the smokers to run against them, he had to have an RM. We found a really nice '06 and he immediately loved it, in his mind he was so much faster...
