NAVY SEAL Stacey Virgin won the first two Vet B/C 30 Plus motos, but crashed out of the third moto, leaving the title to Dave Jones, who was riding a 125!

Just what it sounds like, they combine the novice and intermediate classes of some age groups to cut down on total classes run. Generally those classes are lightly run at AMA races anyway.

Big props to a guy running a 125 in an open class and winning though.

Let us not forget, It is also a 2004 model unless Dave finally traded it in for a new one; oops Kawi doesn't import them into the U.S. anymore, a 2004 it is.

Impossible. 125 just isn't competative. I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E I say. Doesn't he know?

Wow. That is freakin impressive. Even being 30 B/C these guys are not slow by any stretch.

Yeah, according to some here, two strokes are dead. Imagine that, a state of the fart four stroke, a full 1/8 ton of lightweightness getting smoked by a dead fucking six year old bike. I gotta feeling a few more of those things might be coming back from the dead one day.

Congrats to that dude. I'm more surprised it's a 6 year old bike than a 125. The Vet B champ of Millville's amatuer series last year was on a CR125. If you're in shape, know how to ride a 2 stroke, and don't weigh too much, there is no reason you can't beat a 450 on a 125.

Very cool indeed!!!! A 125 can go just as fast as any bike at LL's with the right rider.

Wow.. The results for that title were crazy. David Jones won the title w/a 4th , 5th and 7th place moto scores. Novak was 2nd w/a 2nd 2nd and a 13th.

All the nazy seal pretty much had to do to win the title was stay up.

Also pretty cool is that Jones is a +40 rider as well, so it's not like he just turned 30.

Certainly not, that's true of any rider. Fast kids on 60s and 80s can rail most local Vet riders. Kind of crazy he'd choose a 125 over a 250. He must have had back-pack starts all 3 motos because Loretta's has as long and deeply tilled a starting straight as any outdoor national. I'd love to see his first lap positions each moto compared to his finishing.

It is a cool story but these B/C classes are sketchy.. should a guy who can knife through 3/4 of the pack on a 125 really be in there instead of the +30A? Should a man who can kill you with his bare hands be allowed to sweep 2 motos and nearly a 3rd if it wasn't for his arch nemesis the Tennessee soil? It seems like these novice classes cause way more problems than they're worth.

That has to be the most odd moto scores to equal an overall win that I've ever seen.

Dave is legendary in Ohio - especially Northern Ohio.

Look, I'm a Navy man and fan of the SEAL - but I'd bet money that there was nobody

in that class in Dave Jones' physical condition .

He works construction, does not party at all (hey we tried) and works/ rides his ass off.

A simply AMAZING gentleman, with the physique of a Greek god.

And rockin' the 2 stroke. Right on, Dave Jones.

Very proud of him.
