Hey I was just curious as to where everyone buys their parts? I usually go through Motosport but I wasn't sure if there was a better/cheaper place to order parts. I would like to support my local dealership but they rape people with their prices.

Thanks in advance!

My local dealer gives all racers cost plus 15% regardless of what class you race. As long as you're there every weekend you get the hook up. Cost plus 15% ends up being just a tad cheaper than motosport before shipping.

You have a good dealer then! Do they keep a lot of MX parts in stock?
We had a sponsor like that, but problem was they never has stock. Always ordering...it'll be here next Thursday or Friday.

They don't keep a lot in stock other than consumables but OEM stuff is order Monday and have it by thursday or friday. PU and Tucker stuff is usually no more than 3 days.

Support your local dealer. If your local dealer doesn't support you, find another one. There are plenty of good dealerships in Iowa (as it looks like that's where you're from) that don't pull that routine...I'm one of them

I buy from my local dealer. If I find something on the web that is on "sale" I will see if my dealer will price match and they usually do. They stock all the common wear parts for my bike(clutch, crank, piston, wheel bearings, spokes, sprockets/chain etc).. I get a cost pl=us 10% deal thru them so there is no need to shop anywhere else

I've ordered misc. oddball oem stuff through bike bandit from time to time but it always appears to be full pop retail. Where the hell is the value in that? Local dealers give me a small discount and I can usually deal with one person who seems to have their head screwed on straight,so for the majority of what I need, I support them. It is amazing how some of the dealer parts guys could care less whether you spent money there or not. There are a lot of motocross types that are cheap shit assclowns and expect the dealers to sell shit at or below cost or will refuse to do any business with the local dealer because he won't give little johnny d class a sponsorship deal. Goes both ways.

You can get 15% off at BTOsports if you listen to the pulpmx podcasts.

Ill continue to buy online because my local dealers never have what i'm looking for.

Even tires...my dealer is 80$ more for the same tires I can get online (free shipping). Plus they wouldn't even hook it up with installing them for free. So i can save 80$, have them delivered to my house and install them myself for free.

Its kind of hard not buying online and if they are the cheapest, and delivered to your house. I love the sport and try to support it, but money is money, I guess only a riders or pro riders deserve a discount LMFAO! Buying online saves time and gas money, and like said above most dealers don t stock aftermarket, oem parts! I will continue to buy from my local guy until he does nt work there any longer, and he even admits he can t beat closeout prices from a company that bougfht thousands of the same product and can give a better price. Fyi,, a D riders money spends the same as a A rider.

ebaymotors.com for used backup parts I don't really need, and my local shop (ESRmods.com) for everything else.

I understand why people buy online. Everybody wants to save a buck.
But if you have a good local dealer, it's always a good idea to at least give him a shot.
Take your online price in and see if he can get close or match it.
Many times they can.

As far as in stock parts, I don't worry too much since my dealer can get anything I want in 3 days most of the time.

Unfortunately, fully stocked mx dealers are becoming more rare. It's just not that big of a money maker for many of them.
That is, unless they're in a hot mx market like Socal.

American Eagle has a good selection and prices. Also eye candy to ring up your sale.

For dirt bike I wait for the dealer close out catalog to arrive. Nothing like being fresh in last years model!
