Will we have a Tiger Woods style press conference at Dallas apologising for this incident, misdemenour? Perhaps he will get on the mic with the voice of SX at the opening ceremonies and apologise to his fans, parents, sponsors etc (That would be cool!)
Any PR experts care to chirp in on the best way to minimise long term damage to his career & reputation?

We need to get off this subject and he needs to come right out and admit that he is/was a dumbass, take his licks from the law and then grow up some. End of story.

It will be interesting to see, but on the same hand, i don't give a shit. Yes i think it was a foolish thing to do, but i think most people in this world, including myself, have done things that could be seen as worse than that. I think its a funny story for him to look back on and tell (maybe this would have been the case in the 90s without so much internet coverage!!), but i don't think its worth all the media attention etc its getting.

Yea, getting charged with a felony is a riot. Something to tell your grandchildren. It will probably be a lesser charge in the end but to say this isn't a big deal is just unrealistic. The most famous rider in this sport today gets arrested for "impersonating an officer" is a HUGE deal. After Stewart does the Mea culpa and pays the piper this will die down.

This championship is unreal, the question is what's the next thing to happen.

Why do we need to get off the subject? His team hasn't said a word so it's open for speculation. No one knows what he was doing, why, how often or how much trouble he is in. This could change his life dramatically or just be his most embarrassing moment. The possibilities are endless and open for discussion since that's what people do here. If James didn't want us discussing his life off the track he would not have given us the gift called "Bubba's World".

Best way to handle it is with a win in Dallas. He does not have to apologize in my book.

Why all the comparisons to Tiger Woods?
3/30/2011 7:21am
Why would James have to apologise to the fans? It's nothing to do with them.

I found Tiger Wood's apology utterly revolting, the way he kowtowed begging for forgiveness. Just because he went and jumped in bed with a load of beautiful women. Good for him. The guy's human just like anyone else and in a situation like this with JS, though he did a very stupid thing - ultimately it's between him, his sponsors (who do have a vested interest) and the law.

And its mindsets like yours is why society is in the shitter. Tiger screwed around on his wife, kids, and let his sponsors and fans down with his whore-monger lifestyle. He didnt have a 'love affair' with a secretary or something, he was banging as many skanks as he could fit into his schedule, and that is total bullshit for a married man, father, and highly paid athlete in a sport that prides itself on decorum and tradition. When you look someone in the eye in a marriage ceremony and promise them something, you do it or file for divorce and GTFO.

WTF happened to integrity anymore?

I shouldn't have said 'good for him' because you're right in that he did let down his family. He (Tiger) did a wrong thing. But that's why he has to apologise to them, not to the world.

He doesn't owe anyone anything because it's no one's business. He certainly didn't have to apologise to the fans and nor does James. It's nothing to do with me and it's nothing to do with you. If people were hurt by finding out that Tiger was human and not in fact the perfect person, then that's because they have an unrealistic view of the world.

When he apologised, do you think everyone in the room, all the journalists, the photographers - were saints? How many of them had done similar if not worse things. The difference is that they didn't stand up and tell everyone about it. It's self indulgent, childish puritanical nonsense to pretend that a good many of us might not go the same route given the chance. We don't know about inner dynamics of his marriage, the relationship with his wife. Either way it obviously wasn't working.

I'm not saying it's wrong to talk about these people as we are with James.
But that's far and away from suggesting he should apologise.

Wait.............someone posts something describing a famous person cheating on his wife and you come back with "BUSH"?!?!?
Got you Presidents mixed up, fart.

Anyway, nobody here knows jack-sheit about what happened, and even if we did, none of it affects us. Is this as bad as totaling a rental car and sticking Avis with the bill, like guys did in the '70s?

You think integrity flaws started with dumbass Dubya? ABC/CBS/NBC all fall on thier knees in worship anytime John F. Kennedy is mentioned on their networks and always refer to that time as 'Camelot' and speak of JFK like he the second coming of Jesus. When in reality all those Kennedys were crooked as snakes, hell they learned from the best, their bootlegging mobster father (Joe) who banged more Hollywood starlets while his matriarch wife stayed faithfully at home raising his monster litter of kiddos.

Why just last night I was watching an old Rockford Files rerun, and they had an actress on there I recognized and couldnt remember her name. So I Googled the episode and found her name (Veronica Hamel) and looked it up and found that she had once owned Marilyn Monroe's house, and while having some roof/remodeling work done the contractor discovered a huge elaborate surveillance system secretly put in her house in every room. Not only were the Kennedys banging her, they had the FBI bug her house and were watching her every move and word. Oh thats right, her death was ruled an *accidental overdose*. Mmmm-kay

Dubya aint no Mother Theresa, but he wasnt the first shyster in the Oval Office.

Man you guys get so butt hurt when people talk shit on Bush, he's an idiot plain and simple. No one's said that all politicians aren't idiots, they all suck, but let's call a spade a spade, W was the worse thing to hit the oval office.
