Why do you find this so hard to believe? I've seen graze wounds that don't even draw blood and leave more of a burn streak over the skin. Even a through and through rifle round to ear isn't even going to slow down and unload energy. The wound isn't likely to be that impressive. Not sure what the medical record is going to tell you?
