6/2/2024 8:32am This is a Good bike. Motor is super strong and the components are first rate. But it's a 27.5 bike, meaning the wheels are 27.5" and not 29". 27.5 bikes are known for riding fast, turning and handling well. The steering angle is spot on which is designed for fast pace action. With that being said, the 27.5 bikes lack ground clearance. Pedal strikes are common, and annoying. 27.5 bikes can be fixed by installing shorter crank arms. This bike comes with165mm crank arms, and you might be able to find 155mm which makes a world of difference. Not only...

5/31/2024 7:26am I've never actually looked at an E-mountain bike, don't ride bicycles of any kind. After reading this I might check one out, sounds like fun and good way to stay in moto shape. In my area we supposedly have a lot of mountain bike trails. Nice write up.

5/28/2024 7:31am I guess it's part of the game but I think letting your racing do the talking would be better. There was zero upside to calling out Levi IMO.

5/22/2024 4:50pm Just my opinion, but I don’t think different classes should ever be on the same gate drop. In addition to safety issues, it causes issues for both classes, not knowing whether the guy ahead of or behind you is in your class. Waves are ok if absolutely necessary, but I don’t even like that TBH. Unfortunately with so many classes, it’s pretty much required in order to finish the program in a reasonable time. With regard to younger riders, I’m noticing a distinct increase in asshole behavior…but that’s a discussion for somewhere other than this thread.

5/22/2024 2:39pm I remember the feeling I had at my son’s first race. I simply can’t imagine the emotional plunge that these parents just went through. Just an absolutely horrendous thing to have to go through. I also feel for the other riders who it sounds like struck the young man. At that age, processing things like the yellow flag is a lot different than for those of us who’ve seen more of the potential negative outcomes, and I’m sure that they tried to act properly based upon their limited experiences in the world. The riders who hit the downed rider will...

5/22/2024 1:37pm At Washougal this past weekend there were multiple instances of riders continuing to race/jump/pass on waving yellow and even red cross flags. My son came off complaining about being passed in the whoops by several riders jumping as he was rolling thru the waving yellows past a downed rider (being attended to by medics) and bike. The turnout was very large, with big gates, and there were a number of bad crashes and riders down. Young riders must be trained to recognize and respond when they see flags, but it's not happening, and/or the adrenaline is taking over and clouding...

5/22/2024 9:40am This is our local track, we've spent a lot of time racing and riding there over the years. I've been contemplating posting about this out of respect for the family. Hopefully I don't inadvertently cause anymore hardship to the family but I think it's important for the parents of racers and new riders in general to have some understanding of...

5/20/2024 8:11am For me I’m looking at a 350 for my next bike. I want the feeling of a 250 with the power of a 450. So a modded 350 would achieve that. I dislike the feel of 450s due to the crank mass but 350s have the same crank as a 250. So it’s a win getting away from that heavy feeling of a 450 but still having the speed of one.

5/15/2024 8:58am "Woke"? lol... Got anymore meaningless gotcha slang to throw out there? No one's forcing tracks to do anything. They're probably tired of watching riders (young and old) get wadded up. I race 20 weekends a year with the 30+ crowd and NO ONE complains about big jumps or the occasional whoop section. Hell, barely anyone complains about slot car prep either... I'm just not a fan of it being that I grew up riding the SoCal desert. Didn't stop me from racing Hangtown last month though. Tracks are going to limit their exposure to risk and cater to the guys...

5/13/2024 7:54am As a working adult with a family and a job that requires me being able to carry a 65lbs backpack of tools and lots of ladders I'm ok with the humped tabletops. Not sure why they would get rid of berms though?

5/10/2024 7:52am You gotta love DV. He's got enough money and time to do whatever the hell he wants to do. And what does he do? Buy old two strokes and restore them, ride with his buddies, watch the races, offer his help with coaching, share his unfiltered opinion on Pulp, and buy used tires and gear off ebay or Fb. He's an amazing character in our sport and the fact that he still comes on here is as surprising as it is awesome. Ride on DV!
