Just an appreciation post. This guy never fumbles in his videos/broadcasts. His weege show videos on YouTube are always perfect and his way of plugging the Honda Talon in the beginning of every video just fits and never feels out of place. And he can switch back and forth between topics and never miss a beat. I know he gets a lot of recognition on here, but I feel like his talent is head and shoulders above the rest in other sports as well.

Nothing super special, wanted a surf standup but haven't worked up the balls to take it out in the ocean yet lol. I just wait till it's super windy and then go try and ride this buoy course on the lake, some of the best upper body traininjg for moto that I've done so far.

This is the way I understand it too. Personally, I don't wear one. Maybe they help, maybe they don't? I don't really want another foreign object strapped to my body that limits movement for a "maybe". Just my choice, glad we all have the choice to make.

My interpretation of neck braces is they minimize movement (forward, back, side). But the true area of concern is with compression of your vertebrae, which they do not prevent. If anyone can enlighten me on the technical details of what a neck brace accomplishes to minimize the risk of fractures, that would be great.

Bike feels pretty sick in the driveway lol. It's like a choppered out YZ 2 stroke, with wide radiator shrouds. I think it'll work out! I should mention that I own a big bore Superjet as well, and as much as I wanted to open a yamaha 2 stroke museum; I probably spent 1500 dollars on VP 110 last summer, lol.

I'm amazed that some people believe modern engineering and technology to be less advantageous than multiple decade old tech. How can you rationalize that? There are engineers devoting their professional lives to improving safety. Crumple zones are used across the board in safety devices in some way or another. And it's not hard to understand, it's simple physics: give the energy somewhere to go besides into the human. And that's the basic principle of how any helmet should work - dissipate energy somewhere other than the brain. Helmet technology has take huge steps forward in recent years. With advanced testing...

You mean you don't associate Damon Bradshaw with KTM's?? I also have an engineering degree and found Adrian's comments regarding technicians and mechanics to be very distasteful. I can also say that I have no business determining if it's safe to drill into a frame just because I have a degree. I don't fully know Adrian's background, but I can imagine that there are very few people in existence who could possibly be familiar enough with the stress analysis of a specific motorcycle frame to know where it would be safe to drill holes. Maybe he does possess that knowledge...

I feel the exact same way. I'm an ME and it boils my blood to hear my coworker engineers talk down on our technicians. It's usually the engineers that aren't worth a sh!t that do that... I believe that in order to have a business with the word 'engineering' in it you must have a PE license. I could be wrong on that. But I understand that back in the day it was much easier to get a PE than it is now.

I just listened to this tonight, and it was painful and awkward. Out of the gate, I am an Engineer, by education, and vocation. I worked directly as an Engineer in industry (engineered rotating machinery) for 6 years, before moving into technical sales in the same technical world, which I have now done for 12 years. I still work with Engineer's every day. They are who I sell to at a high level. So I have to understand people, personalities, and specifically the personality traits of Engineers. I would estimate that 65%+ of people who work as Engineers are actually...
