4/29/2025 6:24pm I believe you would be on-point if it wasn’t for the major financial uncertainty of Pierer Mobility AG right now. Production lines in Austria were recently shut down again as parts suppliers were also shut down previously and some closed down. John and Eli wouldn’t accept the risk of potential future R & D delays in my opinion.

It would take some work to change to a cable clutch, modifying the left side crankcase, but it could be done..

Seems kind of strange that Yamaha and Monster can’t put the money together to keep him. Hasn’t Roger said before he always wished he could have got ET3 on his team? Maybe it could be the time.

Reed had that 2011 450MX title on lock until the crash at Millville. He had the red plate the whole series and a decently comfortable lead and appeared to have Dungey and RV covered in speed more often than not.. probably the best he ever looked, honestly. Also, I’m obviously not super knowledgeable about it or I wouldn’t be asking.. but is it not possible to swap a bike from a hydraulic clutch to a cable clutch? It’s pretty easy to swap the other way.

Reed did a fantastic job at Two-Two racing in what many, myself included, thought was a fools errand. He was in the hunt in supercross and MX (red-plate I think?) until that famous crash at Spring Creek. Not sure if Tomac has the desire to setup a similar program for a single year (at a time?), but I don't see him as not being competitive on his own program. He could get the right people around him like Reed did and not be limited by his team support.

Call me crazy but Eli has far more ROI than either Deegan or Cooper. He’s faster and far more proven than either of them, he has more titles than both them combined. Don’t get me wrong, Cooper is damn good close in sx but I’d still give the nod to Eli and he’s not even in the same league outdoors. No doubt deegs will shred the 450 but imo Eli beats him next 2 years easy. He also far more popular than Cooper and although he has less social media that Deegan, he’s universally liked. Man, if Webb could get a DNF or a terrible result tonight without getting injured so Kenny can be in this title fight, I’d be ok with losing Jett and Eli.
