Could you imagine an NFL broadcast team talking about how NFL fans don't know what they are talking about? They would lose their job. Some things you can know and not state.

We can often have people over while a Supercross is on, it is Saturday night after all. Even the non-moto people wonder what the hell RC is supposed to be, funny, serious, or comic-relief. As an announcer he is embarrassing.

A lot of the shit posted here in moto by "the regulars", is just that. Most threads are obvious "scroll on past" threads. There are indeed a handful of people here worth reading. Most just argue their stupid takes back and forth with their fellow mototrolls. But... Like previously stated, We all know a bad broadcast crew when we see it. We all follow other motorsports, and see the difference. And in no other broadcast do they miss so much action, waste so much time during the motos with their shallow backstories. Or have a tongue tied semi literate in...

I don't think people need to know how to run a TV broadcast to know when it sucks. I can't fly a helicopter but when I see one stuck in a tree I know the pilot fucked up. That said, it must be tough to have to read the bullshit on Vital and other social media as part of your job. I can scroll by stupid comments but I think I would lose my mind if I had to read Instagram comments and forum posts everyday. Having said THAT, I'm pretty good at what I do as a professional, so...

More people would race local MX if there was less waiting around and longer motos.

No reason the lazy ass in the Tower couldnt have been waiving the Red Crx flag on the straight coming into the finish line corner - then no one would have missed it. All on FELD....2 cent flaggers with very little flagging knowledge or experience. The only positive: ET3 got a win, and the points lead is reduced from 16 to 8.

This is my point of view exactly. If the function of the flag is safety and 1/4th or more of the field didn’t see it, that’s an error on the organizer.

I’ve been docked for jumping on a flag that I never saw. Same scenario, flagger on top of a jump, when your eyes are on your line. Why not have a flagger standing ground level in the corner, where you can actually see them. I see this as lazyness on the AMA’s part. Get your ass to ground level where everyone can see you, not just some guys.

Eli saw it because he’d settled for 2nd and was cruising home. Jett was on the gas from the inside, and Webb, Sexton and co were battling for position. Putting the ‘no jump’ flag after the takeoff of the jump you’re not supposed to jump is dumb, but they have to enforce the penalty.

Agreed. No rider sees the flag from behind the finish line at an elevated view zoomed in from an angle. Look at his helmet. Looking down and cocked to his left a pinch. Bet his eyes were in the direction too. 22% of the riders couldn’t see the flag. That percentage goes up if you count Anderson’s 2nd offense to 27%. Poor placement in a non obvious area. Not good for rider safety measures.

The point of the cross flag is safety, can we agree on that? The fact that 6 riders failed to see the flag is an issue. 25% failure rate of that system is not good for the safety of a downed rider.

5 of the top 6 in series points did not see the flag, it’s kind of a valid argument don’t you think? 1 or 2….okay, but 5 of the top 6?

Listen the Plessinger ( I think) on the Pulp interviews.....specifically said that and he is not wrong. The issues jumping on flags is riders always say they cannot see it. I get it. Max heart rate at the end of the race and trying to look for things is not easy.

None of it was great, but the reason Jett didnt see it is because he kept looking back to see where Eli was. This is professional racing. The flags are there for a reason and these guys are supposed to pay attention to them. Jetts mind was on celebrating and the finish of the race. But there are still safety considerations at play. Ithe race is not over. I can see arguments on both sides. From the picture above, it looks like its clearly displayed. But definitely being on the inside makes it harder ti see.

I agree. And we are fortunate someone didn't get landed on otherwise it can be quite the race director/promoter responsibility.

Stationary object versus a moving / waving object in front of it. Which one would you see? Reverse it with holding the Red Cross flag in front of the waving checkered flag behind it and the riders would have seen it first. The places where red flags are waved has always been an issue. Get the flagger on the track not off the side opposite of where riders focus is. 5 out of 21 - 25% of the riders could not see it. BTW I thought it was 10 riders that jumped? All 5 riders should file appeal this decision.

Hi! I’m a Jett Lawrence Mega-Fan and I just want to throw glitter in the face of last nights flagger. I’m currently choreographing an interpretive dance to put my anger into a very dramatic and emotional piece that truly explains…no…it defines my anger and disgust with a world that refuses to change into the safe and cuddly place I want it to be! 🤡
