I think it would be cool, but there are too many high profile guys desperate for a ride for that to happen. He also seems to be happy at club. It's no star but it's a decent bike. I fully believe a club bike could run up front.

Small detail but after JMart's 2nd moto holeshot Weege said something to James, who was quiet. James said I'm just being quiet to soak in the response from this crowd. Maybe not James exact words but Weege took thr cue from him and they both just listened to the fans responding to a moment in moto history. What an absolute pro move from James as a broadcaster and as a fan of mx. I got goosebumps a little just typing this

Totally agree with the op. They are dialed, James is fun and knowledgeable, Weege is good at setting him up, JT and the young lady are just right as well.

I say the below with nothing but respect & am in no way suggesting any measures would have changed the outcome of this tragedy. MXGP requires chest protectors, I’m still not 100% how we “can’t”. “They limit mobility” - Cool, so do the HANS devices in nascar, but after DE3 passed away, it was nonnegotiable and everyone now has the same mobility. The vast majority are out there in a thin jersey, with no real protection between the top of their knee braces to the bottom of their helmet. Adding a chest protector requirement would hurt no one, but it...

Not sure why the down votes this is a topic that needs to be discussed. One has to wonder if the Alpine Stars airbag system could have saved him?

I think I was more impressed by Haarup, simply because he hammered 3 beers at the table next to me Friday night before Saturday’s race 😂. Either way way to go Triumph though!

With all the excitement centered around J Mart's absolutely stellar and incredible day, I didnt realize this until I looked at the results just now. Triumph had all four of their bikes in the top ten! Pretty amazing for a team and bike that's only on their second season of racing at this level. Really cool to see Forkner pull off an 8th with all the adversity he's been through. So their bike must be decent eh? Smile

This is going to be talked about for the rest of time. Every time its a top racers last race of their career they will ask if maybe he could “pull a jmart and rip both holeshots and win his last race ever”. People are always going to remember this. This is going to be one of those things you always remember that enters the moto trivia like RV holeshotting and winning mxon on the 250.

Kinda crazy how much better Prado looks with one little suspension change. Maybe it's time we retire the blue pig and introduce the green pig...

RJ now the 2nd best American on a 450?? And who would have bet more than $1 that RJ would consistently run down and pass Prado.

anyone else also noticed three star mechanics holding the pit boards for Jmart and cheering him on during the last laps? 😂

I think it's a blend of brutal realization that this is a much harder series than he anticipated, time off from injury, and really struggling to adapt to the aluminum frame. Power isn't the issue. He rode a steel frame bike his entire life. He's now riding a longer platform that you have to ride differently and it's wearing him out.

He was on the best bike in the entire pits in MXGP. No production rule. MXGP, while still mostly rider dependent, bike can make a bigger difference than in the US series. It's a more equal playing field here and what shakes out is generally based on talent, not the bike.

Yamaha not signing him when he was the best rider they had up until his injury in SX. Then he comes out and he’s the best they have outdoors but his setup looked off from round 1. I just wonder how willing they were to test to make the bike better. Then the bike blows up. It just seems like he said fuck it, let’s stay healthy for the new contract. I’m not blaming Yamaha but you have to wonder how it went down.

Gp’s won’t be much of a challenge. That would be getting demoted to a lower series. A series that struggles with half full starting gates
