500 class Interesting history of racing classes: Road racing - They used to run 50cc as a world championship class. (And 80/125/250/500) The smaller classes got dropped, in line with trends in ownership/use in general. 2 stroke 500cc bikes eventually took over as the only competitive platform. Power to weight being almost everything in GP racing. Like the tiddlers, 2 strokes were disappearing fast from general ownership/street use. The organisers gave 4 strokes a massive capacity advantage and overnight 990cc bikes dominated GPs. Pushing 300hp the organisers keep fiddling with the rules (capacity has varied 800-1000) to try and keep...

I've always thought non-factory/non-PC Kawis are some of the worst-looking bikes in AMA, but I like these (and shoutout to Bud Racing; those Kawis were gorgeous).

Moto turned it's back on 2T's long ago. The only reason they're still around and more are considering returning to the market is because the off-roaders have kept the torch burning.

To me, it seems like club is the best "b level" team out there. At least in the 250 class. It's tough to argue with their results over the past few years, and the bike looks great. Props to Yoder for betting on himself.

Lux Turner left because he didn't like the deal presented, looking like same deal with Federsov. Up to the point that Yoder signed his 2 year deal just before A1 his deal did not include salary. Yoder said he could have made 100K staying with PRMX but chose to take the Club option. Looks like that worked out fine.

I’m impressed, and a bit sceptical, that people can easily feel the difference between cast and forged triple clamps (GG/KTM). And engine mounts that improve the feel. I’m at the level where I can notice if my front tire is flat. Eventually.

I cracked up when he said "huevos" at the end! Also, his idea of taking it slower would be traveling less so he can spend more time in the shop working on the bike! Back in the day, I saw Roger watching practice in the astrodome all alone in a section when he was managing Suzuki. My brother and I sat three rows behind him and watched, too much respect to bother him but slightly creepy.. haha

"There is absolutely no way that Alpinestars can claim that their vest saved him from anything. He suffered a serious goddamn injury." Yes, and here's why. The concussion he sustained is not related to the Tech-Air vest. The helmet and the airbag are two separate pieces of safety equipment designed to protect different parts of the body from different injuries. Sustaining a concussion does not invalidate the performance of the Tech-Air vest. Alpinestars’ claim is not that Justin suffered no injuries, but that based on the measured impact data, the forces transmitted to his body were significantly reduced. That directly...

“ What I'm arguing is everyone seems to think this kept Barcia from being paralyzed” Nobody outright thinks this. You’re twisting the data and what people are saying to fit your negative narrative because you personally don’t see the value in the Tech-Air technology. It’s fine not to see the value in it, airbags have been a slow climb for adoption all of the last 20+ years, you’re not alone. The growth shows that you’ll likely come around at some point, and if you don’t, you might wish you did.
