NE14MX Added a reply to Balance Anyone

1/16/2014 6:10am
Check out www.mototrials.com some cool video's showing riding skills, etc. They also have the 2014 and 2015 schedule showing rounds in Texas (though I know it's a big state). Used to be one around upstate NY too but I don't see that on the schedule

NE14MX Added a reply to DeCoster's RN370 Suzuki

I believe it was that year I was at Unadilla at the age of 16. I went into the pits after the first moto and saw Rodger. I don't remember in what place he finished the first moto now. I asked him what was the problem. He said the shocks weren't working right and asked if I could hold the...

NE14MX Started a new thread Bettencourt motorcycle auction

1/25/2012 2:12pm
I've seen a few threads where people here are interested in old bikes. Here's some information on a auction for the benefit of Dave Bettencourt who has contracted leukemia. I know it's short notice but here goes. The aution is through Jwoodandcompany.com where you can go for picutures and lot numbers. Over 180 Classic Motorcycles from the Bettencourt collection, which...

NE14MX Added a reply to Cruise input from Dave and everyone else

I'm surprised no one mentioned Princess. The other cruise lines are catching up but they use many of Princess's hotels, buses, train cars. They do have formal nights but their open dining format allows you to eat on your own schedule. My wife and I (no kids) did a cruise/tour in June a couple of years ago. I'm glad we...

NE14MX Added a reply to 110/80/19 on 450's ??

5/6/2011 9:47am
It's simple math. 110 X 80 = 88mm sidewall. A 110 X 90 = 99mm. It would be like running 11mm more sag (height wise not spring/suspension wise) so I think he would notice it in the handling. It's really a 250f tire as the shorter sidwall flattens out the profile on the wider 450 rim.

NE14MX Added a reply to 2010 YZ450F Mapping

10/19/2010 6:09am
Try looking in the ThumperTalk YZ450F forum. There's a sticky at the top where people can put maps and comments. I am currently running the Jay Marmott map. For the other poster mapping refers to the fuel injection air/fuel ratio and ignition advance/retard which is stored in the EFI as maps.

The MXA article liked the Yosh the most for the biggest horsepower gain and aggresive rev. The Akro was also liked for spreading out the rev more. I have a full stainless FMF which is towards the wide rev side of things. All improve the top end. I agree about the tuner really being able to change the character of...

Oh sorry I first though you were looking for a 450. Troycitygarage.com here listed the YZ250 for $6199 + $175 shipping and setup. Out of state buyers pay no sales tax.

Well not all the programmers come with preprogrammed maps. So what's the layout for map #7? Over at TT there's a sticky to list various maps. There is one for Jake Marmot and then some supposedly from Yamaha. Marmot/DrD FI 4/4 -1 +3 -2 1/2 +3 +4 -3 1/4 -2 -3 -2 IG 4/4 +2 +2 +2 1/2 +2 +4...

NE14MX Added a reply to trophy value

1/5/2010 10:57am
I thought so too. That's why I wanted to give credit to the guys who were doing it. On the other side of things, when I was a member at Hogback Hills in Palmyra, NY, we would give credit equal in value to anyone who wanted it instead of the trophy. They could use the 'check' for entry fees, food...
