I think it took a few days to confirm Jett’s acl. There is generally a lot of swelling involved in that injury and they often wait for it to go down before getting a good diagnosis.

Why is it odd? For what is an orthopedic injury at a flyaway event, the normal course of action is to stabilize and get the rider home for further evaluation. Any of these riders have their own vetted orthopedic team. Initial consult, imaging, follow up consult, pt, or surgery are all easier to plan and carry out near home. After the crash, he picked up the bike and rode back to the pits. The injury was not an obvious fracture that required immediate setting or immobilization with a casting or splinting. No risk to limb or life, no need for...

I’m all for the chainsaws at the MXdN. At an AMA Pro National, not so much. I don’t know what’s more annoying, the air horns and chainsaws during a podium interview or the constant screaming of “Red Bud” by the alcoholics at every RedBud race.
