The time difference might keep things somewhat quite during racing, Aussie here, timing not to bad for us, first Qual race is 9.30pm we have it on Pay TV channel Stan, so I can watch live. Pretty lucky, just got back from the Aussie Junior MX Championship, My son raced all week while I was out working taking photos, just got home after an 8 hour drive, currently watching Aus SX Round 1 live, as soon as it finishes MXoN starts. So Ill watch it all while kicking back editing photos and sending them

I can't be the only one that thinks there is not a chance Eli runs a single race to get points to keep his number. He seems like the type that does not waffle or race a couple of races just to keep a number. His retirement (IMO) appears to be a "I have all the desire in the world to enjoy what I have coming, and zero desire to line up at any starting gate" kind of deal. He has nothing left to prove, nothing left to accomplish, and seemed really happy to be taking the boots off.

He really didn’t do anything near as bad as you all make it out to be. He was honest in interviews, saying the bikes not where it needs to be, he’s waiting on the team to get it there. He could win if the bike is right. The budds scenario he was coming into the pits asking for changes , had his fast laps ruined, never got a clean lap, everyone ran with the deliberately tried to not qualify story. Meanwhile he finished like 5th overall for the season… better than sexton and marchbanks this year… He was proven right...

Long time Tomac superfan here.. I’m honestly impressed we even got this much notice and got to see him race after the announcement.

You can't knock them for trying. They have managed to put on some really good events that have been great fun to watch, with great riders. They certainly have the skillset to run a good championship but I guess in our small sport it's more difficult than you would think to fund it.

Best outcome would be that they announce that this is the last SMX race ever and it was a failed experiment and move on. Now if they actually had hybrid tracks then maybe it would have been a better series.
