I think it's their eyes and the ability to process information faster. If you've ever tried to ride fast above your head, things come at you faster, and you make mistakes. I think the elite elite elite riders can slow things down in their minds and their mach speed feels like us cruising around on a pit bike. It's the same way with people who race F1 or other fast cars, the ability to slow information down.

With a lot of the stuff that was already mentioned I think a lot of what helps them is you have the top two guys riding the same bike so that's a good amount of comparison data and they ride together. That iron sharpens iron kinda thing.

I hate getting old but I'm very thankful to have been a teenager in the 70s. Started racing MX in 72. Had a 1969 Camaro in HS with an Sanyo 8 Track player (had a case in the back seat with 24 8 tracks). You could ride in any open field and nobody complained. And there were a lot of dirt bikes in the 70s. No internet, no social media. Just riding dirt bikes, hanging out with friends and listening to rock. Life was good.

I’m about done with all the back and forth about what’s his name and Jett, so how about a bit of appreciation for the number 96?! Just a round ago Hunter achieved something no one has has; going 1-1 against his brother, then this week he straight up runs Jett down and pulls away. But those of us that have been here the last few years know how he OWNED Sexton and gifted him one sx title (same gift eli gave him n the 450's). Austin was dominant early on in his pc days. He was every bit as dominant in sx as jett an deegs. He could just never seal the deal. Whats the old saying, gotta be in it to win it! Do disrespect to Sexton on the gifts. He was there and took advantage of the situations.
