Ironman just reinforced my opinion that Tomac with another month of prep would be a better pick than AP. I can understand wanting to send the rider who “deserves” it most but if team USA wants to send their best team they include Tomac in my opinion.

Man, it’s gonna feel like a huge void opened up when he leaves. Felt the same way when RV2 retired. Just didn’t feel the same anymore watching the races

We can do it. The Madd Parts team (Freddie Noren and Shane McElrath) are running gun-metal on their clamps now. Gun metal is not a standard color we run regularly, so there would be an upcharge on top of the cost of the clamps. So would Tomac, but does AP get the best results and come in clutch when he needs to? This could be Tomacs last nations, and getting 4th after two years off of mx racing isn’t bad at all.

I’d say 5 years ago or so there was somewhat of a revival. Bunch of YouTubers rebuilding early 2000s 2 strokes for fun. I hopped on that bandwagon and rebuild an 05 yz250 from the ground up, added KYB SSS suspension, etc. I ended up selling after 1 ride though, just wasn’t nearly as fun to me as my 450.

Kooksey knows that live streaming the event is not allowed, but he did it anyway to antagonize and make a story/controversy. He’s the moto equivalent of those first amendment ‘auditors’ who spend their time trying to provoke reactions from public employees for attention.
