For the love of god, please pick tomac.

I would bet actual money AP will be the reason we lose if we send him. dude is riding great, but we know who he is at this race.

Tomac is going to get better and better.

Im not saying that AP will crash neither but at the second half of the season he has been way more consistent than Haiden so i would not be surprised if Haiden goes, it might be one of his moto scores that they need to throw away.

Well, AP earned his spot. But he will be the reason we lose.

We’ve got some seriously deranged and strange fan-boys around here. 🤣

Ironman just reinforced my opinion that Tomac with another month of prep would be a better pick than AP. I can understand wanting to send the rider who “deserves” it most but if team USA wants to send their best team they include Tomac in my opinion.

AP may seem more deserving based on this years moto results, but you can’t send someone that doesn’t believe they can win. AP knows he can’t beat Jett and Chase. This is not a fan vote. Eli looked good today despite the leaders being gone. He KNOWS he can beat these guys. Sounds like Eli and Deegan are a package deal. We need the fastest 250 rider on the planet. You never know what mental gymnastics these teams will conduct to prevent riders from entering MXON. It’s conceivable choosing AP would mean sending our 3rd best 250 guy. This is deeper than AP vs Eli. AP will never be on Eli’s level. I don’t know if you guys realize this or not, but the world has gotten really fast. I can’t even say this team will win, but if you want a chance, you must send the A team.

Chase

Eli

Deegan

Tomac 2nd race back and on the podium is enough for me to believe he's still the guy. 5-6 weeks of additional prep? I'd go all in with him.

On one hand it'd be great to see AP go, but it just doesn't make sense given where Eli is with another 6 weeks to build.

Eli just had a much higher ceiling. We know AP can't beat the top guys, but Eli maybe can. Then unfortunately we can't even say AP has a safer floor because we've seen him lay eggs at the Nations before.

Gotta be Sexton, Deegan, Tomac. AP is a dang good reserve pick, though.

Do you honestly feel more confident with AP with Tomac having another month and SMX races to go before then ?

were you one of the deranged ones who thought christian craig was a nice man so he should have gone in 22? lmfao. surely there's a correlation between those wanting AP to go and those who wanted craig in 22.

…I’m not sure why there is so much negativity about Aaron Plessinger.

It Is going to rain in October in Winchester, UK, and last I knew AP was a premier mud rider.
I watched him up close win the San Diego Supercoss this year in the mud.

Maybe I missed something - did the AMA already decide who is going just after the end of today’s racing?

Are we not to anticipate Star not wanting to fund it and blaming it on:

Eli needing to recover fully for 2025

Deegan needing to fix his wrist

A 'conflict of interest' because of RD

Ultimately leading to a full KTM group line up again?

I think I take what is happening currently on the track a little more seriously than others.

Also, things change…which is also proven out on the track.

What is happening currently would be more relevant if the race were today, but it's not. Tomac in 6 weeks has a higher ceiling than AP, without any added risk.

It's not really a knock on AP, it just happens that this year there are two guys that are better options.

Yeah . I dont know . I mean Tomac wasn't   that far off APs pace after just two weeks back racing and as has been said , he has a higher floor and ceiling . I dont know . I'll be good with either but I'd lean Tomac .

Tomac made a huge improvement from last week to this week.  He will be even better in a few more weeks. I'd pick him over AP because I think Tomac is faster, but it would also improve the odds of Haiden joining.

Sexton, Tomac and Deegan . I believe if they pick Plessinger Star won’t let Deegan go.

It's a coin flip between AP and Eli for the MX3 spot. AP was better than Eli today and he would be better than Eli tomorrow, too. But six weeks from now, I don't know. You need to have faith in Eli's recovery, so I'd say go with AP.

And if Star/Deegan say they won't go without Eli, then fuck 'em. They don't get invited next year, either.

Sexton. AP. Hymas.

I think Eli did everything you could ask of him after 3 weeks on the bike, two years off outdoors, and a new bike outdoors.

If they pick AP, so be it and I hope he has a great day in the UK. I’d feel really bad if he had an off day and everyone shit on him and said “shoulda picked Eli”.

I’m good with whoever they send. I’ll be cheering no matter what. Both showed some solid pace today.

Go through and have a look at Tomacs results in the mud compared to AP’s. it’s pretty lope sided

Flip a coin, arm wrestle, or pistols at dawn...I wouldn't want to make this decision.🤔

Me either but I would use evidence to back up my reasons why we probably shouldn’t sent AP, and use it for other things also.

AP is a great choice……but he’s been racing all year and last year he mentioned being a little tired and burnt out from the long year at MXDN. With that said, Tomac is coming off a long break and seems very motivated right now so I’d go with Tomac for that reason.

I think Eli showed enough today to be the pick. He had the pace in both motos. Did he beat AP? No, but I don’t think that was the metric.

I would love to see AP get redemption at MXON but I think Eli’s floor and ceiling are higher than AP’s. I just don’t see AP’s starts carrying over to this event when you add 10-15 more factory bikes on the line.

Far as mud being an issue. Eli rips in the mud too, outside of the double dnf at Loretta’s in 2020 (was running 2nd in moto 1 before the bike went) he has always been towards the front in the mud. Won a Moto in the mud at Red Bud 2 years ago.
