I just picked up a clean, low hour '08 yz250 for $2700. It's a great stablemate for my '06 yz125, which I bought with less than 10 hours for $2100 less than a year ago.

Yeah, some people will jump huge stuff on a trials bike. However, this is a VERY small percentage. The bikes are not engineered for this type of abuse... it wouldn't take long before something breaks. For instance, look for the Julien Dupont video where he snaps the swingarm. A motocross bike or well built minibike would not have broken like...

An expansion chamber isn't needed, because these things are tuned for an insane amount of tractable, bottom end grunt.
