Kincade Pavich's channel is really good. Especially if you like two strokes. Something about the teardown of an old bike that's been sitting is so satisfying for some reason

Finally got the engine torn down! Overall it was in decent shape with only the clutch being more worn than I anticipated. I will most likely pick up a good used OEM unit to replace it. Now the tedious work starts.

Please don't paint the frame black! It sounds like you changed your mind on that... I hope! Your bike will look old with a black frame, and swingarm. I would just go stock plastics as well. These are great looking bikes in my opinion. Clean and restored/race replica is the best plan. 
Buy yourself a media blast cabinet from Harbor Freight. They are on sale for $189 often. Then, you can use a coupon to save another 20%. Use the glass media. 6/25/2023 7:30am Banging job! The 87-88 hondas are no joke, parts can be tricky and the magnesium rot is a pain. You did incredible work restoring what you had.
