Damn, I would have been interested in those covers but just ordered Boyesen covers last week.

Thanks, just started back on it after sitting for a while and should be putting the cases (bottom end) together shortly. Probably sending the cylinder and head out so I'm waiting until after the holidays for shipping that stuff.

Who is doing the cylinder ? Bills pipes did my 98 bored the carb too. It ran quicker and was stronger everywhere. It was the AX spec they did for customers. I smashed the bills pipe then ran the sticker which is a good pipe. JM racing did Dundees RM 125

I've had a few chats with TMR and thinking I will send it out to him. He has solid data/testing on this motor.

Well, I had so many issues with sorting the motor that I lost interest for a while. Got a new left case and turns out it was a 99-00. There is ONE little difference and I couldn't tell until I got it.  I then got the correct left case and had to clean it up a lot. Got all new bearings/seals in and finally buttoned up the bottom end and threw it in the frame.  I also ordered magnesium Boyesen covers 5 months ago and the clutch side finally just showed up.   Lastly, threw a new Hinson basket in there.

Nice!  That's not bad considering how much work he has.

I had a 96 and 97.  Hurt to sell the 97, super low hours and found some rare parts for it.  Sweet chassis, best I ever rode.

If you still have the left case side from the 99-00 I'd be interested! My buddy got a 99 project we want to rebuild and there's some JB weld on the left case, looks like chain broke off at some point. Send me a message or I can send you one if you'd be willing to sell. Here's a picture of the bike 2 days after we got it, pretty rough. It's mostly apart now and been picking away at it when I have time.

Absolutely! I was going to post it locally or on ebay but just haven't gotten around to it with so many mini projects going on.  If easier, you can email me at sethlolli @ g mail dot com

I love that look so much and was pretty set on it but had a change of plans.  I just got new seat foam, seat cover and graphics and I'm going with a replica I love from back in the day but not OEM.

IMO, the stock 96 and 97 look so good but the 98 look was just terrible.

Thats coming out so sweet! Nice work, i may have missed it, but where did the seat cover come from? I just did a 2000 bills pipe david pingree tribute build for the broke to built contest. These bikes can be oddly difficult , i ran into some of the same issues, broken cases, bad transmission parts, the aftermarket doesnt really support these bikes as much as i thought

I snagged graphics, seat cover and foam from evo mx, over the pond.

Yep. The 98 just needed the 96 or 97 radiator shrouds.

Well...this thing has been so much slower than planned. I'm considering writing a book with how crazy life has gotten but I digress...Bike has been close to done other than cylinder, buttoning up suspension and building wheels.

Felt like I need to update after following through with TMR cylinder/pv/head mods. A+, can't recommend him enough based on knowledge, willingness to answer MANY questions, under promising and over delivering and lastly, going above and beyond. At the time of sending my parts, he told me to expect 8-10 weeks. He sent me back my finished work at 6 weeks.  I had a busy week at work and missed UPS so I signed their tag to leave the package without my signature. They then wrote that they needed proof I was 21 and was sending the package back to sender.  I informed Tom, he wrote back that same day that he'd call them in the morning.  First thing in the morning he contacted UPS and had them hold it at customer service location for me.

TLDR: TMR has amazing customer service and 100% follow through on everything he (Tom) says.

This thing has become the Camaro in the front yard where I mow the grass around it...Laughing

Finally put the Hinson internals in the clutch, added trans fluid & Coolant.  Also sent the hubs off finally. New bearings, bronze hubs, silver spokes and gold Excels incoming.

Wheels were quick turn around but my dumbass forgot I don’t have an extra 2.15 rear rim lock so I need to snag one of those.

Getting close...Just installed a Vforce3 reed valve setup, shaved some of the intake port to try to match it better. Also mounted the Dunlops, wheels, and threw the chain on.  The front brake is being a dick and still not dialed, suspension needs to be freshened and pipe needs some minor refreshing.

Never added pics when the bike was 98% done last year. Started up and actually lives, just a few minor things I still want to do.
