Embarrassing take that is clearly biased because you have known him for 30 years. because we want rider safety we should be happy the rich “did something about it”. How about rich realizes the track isn’t safe and doesn’t provide them his business anymore? Clown take.

Coaching my daughters 10u all girls flag football team this past season was one of the best experiences of my life. Without youth coaches stepping up, there is no league. With all due respect, I simply stated facts. Rich did sue LACR, and they did close around the time the lawsuit was settled. Someone who raced at local socal tracks since the age of 10 and watching them close one by one; should know better. This whole incident has been swept under the rug; they settled in 2021. I wonder how many riders would have purchased EKS products? I wonder...

For those few who are having a tough time understanding the difference between a cliff and slope see below. Most of us know a retaining wall would have had to been built for it to be a cliff, but I guess some don't understand that? Dirt will not stack and remain vertical unless compacted and trenched, but it wasn't... More importantly, and like mentioned previously several times, the slope is irrelevant when you lose control and whiskey throttle off something in the wrong direction. This was a huge mistake made by the rider, and not the fault of the track...

15 pages later and we finally have pictures to use to form an opinion! Thanks early. Aside from the other arguments that had to be fucking terrifying to lose control and launch off that berm. Those are the type of things that happen in my bad dreams.

No that is the berm shown below on the vet track, but probably very similar setup to the berm in question. The below photo is from 10/2016 and its probably exactly what the berm looked like when he crashed. In the 4/2017 photo you can tell they added a little more dirt behind it but it wouldn't have changed the outcome with a whiskey throttle off of it.

Awesome idea man 😂 *Old boy pulling into the pits after splitting his sessions between the new 350sxf and the apocalypse edition CR* "How's that air fork feeling now, champ...?" I also like how some folks lock wire their exhaust mount bolts, this guy uses lock wire instead of exhaust mount bolts.

Put a Triumph sticker on it and triple the price "Rare Triumph prototype motorcross bike for sale" This early prototype has many innovations that never made it onto the production bikes, mainly due to cost restrictions. Due to unfortunate circumstances this one off rare piece of moto history is going up for bid. Triumph spent years developing the best handling chassis in motocross, this was done through lots of trial and error. This early version will be a welcome addition to any serious collector's collection. This model has many features *Extended wheelbase keeps the bike from wheelieing for better starts...

Looks like they got confused and built the frame out of the crate the bike came in... I love how the rad shrouds are next to it, like they'll ever fit again 😂 I know the '01 frame wasn't great, but what has to happen in your life to lead to creating this?

Only type I can think of is leaving a dozer parked on the track and letting a gate drop, or similar. Virtually every other risk can be mitigated by a rider choosing not to ride. The arguments about it not being customary to walk a track are bullshit. That’s just another choice someone makes. I was raised to walk the track and to take a slow lap. I have ridden around obstacles I felt were unsafe for me (or rolled them in a race) and have loaded up and gone home if I felt conditions overall were unsafe. I’ve been...

Yep just as how I know LOTS of guys who will not Ride LACR when it’s Windy. Because the Wind makes dang near every jump there more dangerous. The track would never change for Windy conditions. So If we see something unsafe or dangerous on any track we should just not ride and request a refund.

Other than the weird claim of Rich racing as his son... It all adds up? I literally practiced THAT track back in 2017. Didn't think twice about that berm, but maybe I was just too slow to care. Either way I'm not suing anyone for wadding it up. If they built an alligator pit we had to double over and I decided to go out there and send it, that's on me...

Nah, all good here. He’s an arrogant douche whether he wins or loses, and has zero effect on my life either way. Just don’t like people winning in a sport I love who lack humility.

"Woke"? lol... Got anymore meaningless gotcha slang to throw out there? No one's forcing tracks to do anything. They're probably tired of watching riders (young and old) get wadded up. I race 20 weekends a year with the 30+ crowd and NO ONE complains about big jumps or the occasional whoop section. Hell, barely anyone complains about slot car prep either... I'm just not a fan of it being that I grew up riding the SoCal desert. Didn't stop me from racing Hangtown last month though. Tracks are going to limit their exposure to risk and cater to the guys...
