Yes, there are better choices for sure. I want to watch some good racing, not Deegan drama and BS. I think the world of MX probably feels the same.

Deegan’s Moto 2 was messy from start to finish. The takeout was one thing, but the repeated slow-downs and antics that followed were another level. That kind of behavior might be entertaining in an amateur setting, but it has no place in professional sport. Fans expect hard, clean racing — not gamesmanship that makes the race look like a circus. At this level, riders should be setting the standard, not lowering it.

Deegan spent his first couple of seasons trying to run it in on anybody near him, as well as running his mouth. Now he doesn’t have to do it so much because he has superior speed, though he still runs his mouth, just not as often. Kitchen just reminded him that even if you change your habits, your past will occasionally come back to bite you.

I agree but I think it’s only because of the money involved. If the prize pool was the same as a normal SX/MX race I don’t think the riders would be into it. They try to sell the title as important to the riders but it’s really the money.

Im torn about it. On one hand I never understood the ”one race championships” like the Loretta’s amateur championships. For me a championship is a series of multiple races. But on the other hand if a championship is one or a few races that also put a massive pressure to perform in the few races that are held compared to a 10-15 race series where you can afford to mess a moto or two up and still win. I can't help but think this is the stupidity of today, and the constant need for drama. Simply put, the stars aligned for Jeremy, and guess what? Jeremy worked his ASS off during those few weeks to better himself on the bike and was able to take advantage of the opportunity thanks to his hard work and preparation.

He had to bend to corp pressure and...ya... whatever, new generation of kids...big picture doesn't matter much it will all be forgotten in a few weeks. His move on CD was aggressive and maybe uncalled for, but it wasn't dirty, no t-bone just an aggressive block pass. Degs could have punted him into the next lane and CD could have backed out. Anyway, I like CD, what an exceptional rider and very well mannered young man...hard to not like him, if he can stay healthy he's going to be a multi champ! Interested to see how he does outdoors.
