to me no it’s all on “team needs” , AUS needed Jett on a 450 on the come up , USA don’t need deegs on a 450 , between usa mx2 & gp’s mx2 , deegs is better than every 1 since Kay to me has regressed this season , Eli , j coop / chase & deegs is a winnable team , Levi & gang just too inconsistent
Better hope Deegan gets a good start or he’ll probably over ride the bike and bike won’t make it.

I’m sure he could jump up to 450 and do fine, but why??? Him on a 250 is a huge advantage, I don’t even know who you’d send as the 250 guy if Deegan didn’t go. Even if Tomac and Sexton are out with their bike changes I’d be totally fine with two of JCoop/AP/RJ and Deegan on the 250.

Yamaha won't support Tomac if he goes to KTM
KTM won't support Sexton if he goes to Kawasaki
The most realistic options:

R.J. Hampshire - Justin Cooper - Haiden Deegan
Justin Cooper - Haiden Deegan - Levi Kitchen
I would guess he will ride the 250. If they are healthy...we've got Eli, Chase, AP, JCoop, and even RJ to choose from...any of which would make a good team.

Nah that would be stupid. There's enough good 450 riders. No 250 rider is even close to Deegan. And it's often the most important spot on the team.
250MX has been chaotic outside Deegan and maybe Shimoda (who isn't an option). Deegan is the only real option for MX2. If he's not available, then I think they need to move J Coop or Plessinger down to fill the spot.
True, if your 250 rider can score "450 points" in the Open-MX2 heat or in both his heats, he puts you into a great position. Think about a top 5 place for a 250 rider or maybe a "RV replica"...
Open class should allow Deegan to run a 250 if we had to go that route.

I'm afraid if you boys don't send Sexton and Tomac you're pretty much fucked. Joe Dirt, Old J Hampshire, and JCoop won't have a hope in hell in winning their classes.
If chase can’t go, send JCoop, he can preform under pressure and when we need him most. Yeah he probably won’t win a moto, but he will try his best.

This. Look at when we won in '22. JCoop's performance was huge. Deegz will embarrass plemty of 450 riders at Ironman. The pile on after Red Bud is ridiculous. It was one race and Haiden had a hard crash in the second qualifying session. Expect a major beatdown at Millville next race. Haiden is a gamer, too. He'll step up in the spotlight of an event like the MXdN
About the expect a beat down next race part, I wonder how long this injury he has will linger, and how it will effect him. Also, I don’t think millville is one of his best tracks either. I hope he says what his injury is, I don’t think he would be in a knee sleeve(look at his snapchat/marissa’s IG story of haiden and family on the boat) if he has a bone bruise.
Im sure Tomac has a Kawi 450 that he used to race, Sexton more than likely has a spare Ktm 450, let them swap and come to the nations.
