As a Chase fan I really hope it's not true and he stays with KTM. Of course Chase knows what's best for him. But from what we've seen from him on the Honda and KTM, it's not the bike

Well, I’m not here to throw anyone under the bus…I’m pretty sure we covered that for perpetuity over in the Daniel Blair thread…😂 But, I will say this… I really do prefer the Race Day Live show and crew…hell, even the “style” of coverage. Now, I don’t want to go too far with this…because, as we’ve seen before…I don’t want to “jinx it”! 😉

That’s why I pay for the MXGP package at a much higher price!! Paul malin does the race by himself and it’s the way our sport should be coveted period!! From the cameras to the commentating it’s flawless compared to our storyline babbling bs IMO!! After watching a full weekend of their actual race coverage it makes it damn hard to make it threw a night of supercrosss or our nationals as well!!

I will agree with you that it helps the non moto person find the riders relatable but, it would make more sense if they show this at the beginning before a race and then the person would say “oh I will stick around to watch to see how that fisherman does”. Otherwise if someone is already watching the race, you already have their attention. No need to ruin the race for the real dedicated fans.

For the first time, I actually watched the whole race on mute (450 race 2). It's amazing how much more you get from not having Dumb and Dumber blathering over the top. It also made me appreciate even more how little RC analyses the race. There are so many intricacies in how each rider is riding in terms of technique, dealing with the rhythms etc, but you hear none of it from those two halfwits. The first 250 main had to be the most comical thing I have seen in awhile. The last 2 laps Vialle and Thrasher are closing in on RJ and they are taking about shit other then racing. I mean what are they looking at on the actual monitors ? The human interest stories is talked about more on these broadcast then I have ever seen.

I was watching with my dad and when the pictures of mookie holding up the fish came up as mookie was moving fwd in the race I said how stupid of a time it is to put that up mid race. If they really need to show that do it between races. Were here to watch racing, when the race is happening stick to showing the racing on screen. Were not watching this for the fish pics.

The state of the broadcast is an absolute embarrassment. The sport is in a bad place because of it. Leigh Duffy and RC are shameful announcers. Pretty shocking that Feld is getting away with taking almost all the profits and at the same time giving the fans such pathetic garbage announcers.

It is bad, but unprofessional is probably not the most fitting word. The problem is they have midweek production meetings where they decide on talking points and what to put in the broadcast, including side stories to show during the racing. Facepalm. So whoever is making these decisions, and they’ve been following the same bad format for years, is directing whoever’s in the booth to talk about these things. Diffey and RC are being professional by following that direction, but the direction sux!

Halfway through the 450 race 2, Diffey is talking about Mookie racing for gas money for his boat. They then proceed to show Instagram photo of mookie fishing, during the race. No other Motorsport would do this during the race. Its so embarrassingly unprofessional. They say they cater to new Moto fans or the the casual fan but my friend who casually watching sx told me the commentary turns him off from watching more than 5 minutes at a time. The commentary work is the most unprofessional of any motor racing. Only one who deserves a job is JT.
