I raced this one here in the UK, in 2010/2011. 4 speed box was awful for MX, 1st was too tall, but if you went up on the rear it was too brutal on the throttle.. very front heavy, but sounded awesome, and once you were going it was dead easy to ride. In SM trim we altered the firing order, and stuck a 5 speed box and a slipper clutch in it , as well as copious quantites of Ti and DLC bits. Fast as , and very easy to ride, didnt eat tyres, and no 450 could live...

To be clear, I don't think Keefer has any intent to mislead people or screw up their bikes. He's a good dude and is just trying to help people. But he can get a bit caught up in what he "feels" sometimes and it leads to some ridiculous mods like this and altering torque specs on engine hangers 5%... Neither is really dangerous, they're just a waste of time as they do nothing to the handling of the bike. There's a big mental aspect to this sport, though, and people will "feel" that change regardless of whether it does anything...

Sure, as a mechanical engineer that also works with triple clamps, I can tell you without a doubt that this has absolutely no effect on feel, flex, or anything else. The only thing it's doing is reducing thread engagement in the clamp, which makes it more likely to strip out the threads. It would honestly be difficult to think of anything any more stupid than this mod.

Yo mate. I brought as much as I could. Suspension, tank, grips, gear,sprockets, also my own ECU, but it runs different in the heat and humidity, unfortunately we can’t replicate the temprature and stuff in Europe. Also my bike in Europe has all different parts on it, that makes the temperatures on the bike different.. I feel like I prepared pretty good.
