lapper Added a reply to Troy Lee SE2 Helmet Sizing

2/1/2010 6:53am
I have a TLD SE-2 and my son has the Bell Moto-8, both XL's. The fit is about the same between the two. Using the thicker cheek pads in the Bell does feel a little tighter in that area.

KDub... His riding is artistry in motion, but I really respect him for being true to himself. Remember "Where's Windam?" at the end of 2002? I don't know the contract details, but I'm sure the guy walked away from a shitpot of money. He could have come back, rode around mid-pack, and collected a big fat check from Suzuki. His...

EZ Off Oven cleaner...OK, I don't use it in my parts washer, but I do use it on parts before they go into the washer. It removes 90% of the gunk that would end up in your solvent and you can't beat it for removing carbon deposits or old gasket residue.

Anyone who thinks DC doesn't put what's best for the "sport" over his personal interests needs to read that post again slowly. "One of the two Pennsylvania races" is a logical choice. They also happen to be the two races promoted by the Combs' family. DC...I wish you a pleasant and enjoyable Thanksgiving family dinner. I can only imagine what...

lapper Added a reply to Stolen bikes

I contacted the Baltimore/DC regional auto theft task force about getting a list of recently stolen dirt bikes for our club's newsletter... Kind of a neighborhood watch thing for fellow riders. The detective that called me back said the list of bikes stolen in the area each month would turn our newsletter into a newsbook!

Any bonus points for naming the shop? I can't remember if it was the service manager, or the parts guy, but he could be a dick at times! (just kidding Lumpy)

One Bourbon, one Scotch and one beer is not followed by Brap. It's more like a Bruuuup. If you do your 21st B-day right, it will kind of sound like a 2 stroke slowly skimming a set of whoops Brup..brup...brup...bruuuuuup! You'll understand about 2 A.M. Enjoy it dude. It's the only one you'll get "I said I know...now you funny...

There may be others, but to me, JMB proved himself to be a naturally talented racer. A smooth effortless style may appear natural, but it could also be a learned skill from years of practice. When a rider can switch from knobbys to slicks and instantly be competitive at the highest level, that can only be natural talent.

JW: I got it on eBay! It's called the IPod Kilo. It's a little bigger than a nano, but the dude said it holds like 5 bazillion songs! IT: And you paid how much for it again?

lapper Added a reply to Anyone ever ride one of these?

Had a couple and restored a couple. Sold my last one, a green 74 H2 (750) with Denco chambers, a few years ago. Those things were like a bullet. You'd better make sure you had a clear path in front of you, because there was no stopping or turning once you pulled the trigger.
So does this mean the following rumors are not true? 1. MX sports will be adding a 750 class next year 2.. Twins will be legal 3.. Harley Davidson is cranking up the old XR line to meet the "production" rule 4. Bill Werner was spotted wandering the pits at LL. 5. Look for a new Milwaukee based powerhouse MX...
By the way, anyone that thinks Johnathan, the owner of Budds, is an asshole......you are 100% correct. But you will never meet a person that is as core as him. I've known him for years and there is not anything he wouldn't do for moto. Spend a day in his shoes, especially the week of the National, and you'd probably...
One more This was on the back side of the old finish line hill. This is one of the highest points on the track and was not getting run off from anywhere. This was the "dry" section. Notice the missing section of the FMF banner and rut leading up to the opening. The water was 3-4' deep on the other...

lapper Added a reply to anybody see Jlaw?

4/17/2016 1:46am
I was at J-Law's pit when he returned. It wasn't something he planned, but he did do it. He said with all the rain, he missed the track exit. He came to a spot (deerstand) where someone pointed for him to exit the track. A left would have taken him back to the Pro pits. He didn't know that, and...

lapper Added a reply to Best, Piston/Valves?...

7/7/2009 1:44pm
I'm running JE pistons in my 450 and 250 based on Ron Hamp's (RHC) recommendation. Very happy with them. I got 60 hours out of the 450 OEM Intakes. They never changed for the first 45, but as soon as they started to move, they needed to be reshimmed every 2 hours. The bike has more power than I can...

At least he was talking about MX. Jody normally has to work in his aerobatic stunt plane, Porsche, PhD or Pro surfing career. OK Jody ...we get it. You've got a life most us can only dream of. Hell...we'd give our left nut for the MX part alone. You don't have to rub our faces in it each month. Leave...

lapper Added a reply to PRIVATEER BIKES STOLEN

Sounds like kids or crackheads. Pros would have had a waiting truck. Either way...take extra measures to protect your bikes (Locks, chains, alarms and INSURANCE) now. I'm not trying to scare you, but now that they know the bikes are there, they make a return visit.
