These aren't great action shots, but they really capture how bad the conditions were for the 2nd 250 moto.
Notice the pond overflowing on the right. That stream was running across the track farther down the valley

Notice the rider parked behind the Parts Unlimited banner in the lower right. If you look at the middle left, you'll see what appears to be a river in the valley below. That "river" flowed across the track in 2 places.

This was on the back side of the old finish line hill. This is one of the highest points on the track and was not getting run off from anywhere. This was the "dry" section. Notice the missing section of the FMF banner and rut leading up to the opening. The water was 3-4' deep on the other side of that berm. I hope who ever went thru it knew how to swim.
