Last night i had 2 bikes(07 yz250f and 08yz250f) stolen from me out of my van parked in my driveway. Also took 2 helmets, boots, ipod. If anyone hears of anything (i live in shasta lake,ca) or if anyone is in a position to help. I am set to race the Colorado outdoor national in 2 weeks but as of now i have no bikes. Any info on anything would be much appreciated.

i had the same thing happen to me once .. the kids only lived a couple miles down the road and was riding them and there neighbor called the police on them ... drive around everywhere maybe you will see them

sorry to say, but full coverage insurance on my 09 450 only cost me less than $200 for the year.. small price to pay ya know..

I FOUND MY BIKES!!!!!!!!! i can not believe it! i eliminated all options... i went to the edge of our neighbor hood and found this gate that led to some forrested area. There were some fresh foot steps around the gate and then up ahead there were some tire tracks(knew for sure they came through there). followed the fresh tracks where the bike went through the weeds and at first i couldn't find anything at all...the tracks just stopped. I showed the poilce and they couldn't find anything. About 4 hrs later i went back with a buddy and really tried to firgure out where they went. They had taken them off this embankment through some blackberry bushes and covered them up not 5 feet from a creek. I cannot believe i found them!!!!!! thanks everyone for the support....persistance pays off. I just want to go down there where the bikes were tonight and see their faces when they come back to get them!

Ha, perfect. they pushed them the whole way, didn't even turn the gas on. I rode them home!!!!

Yea the helmets, boots and ipod im assuming they took with them. Insurance should cover those.

Did you call the cops and make a report?

If you happened to have, they'll be considered stolen until they physically see them back in your possession with the report/card they give as report reciept.

I want to but the cops said they are going to stake out the area tonight and see if they come back. I asked if i could go with them but they said no Sad

ha, yea i made a report/claim. I wish they could take a video camera with them, like i said i want to see their reaction. kicking some ass would be a nice anger release but you never know who might pull a gun on you. But thanks everyone, ill let you guys know how colorado goes!

Don't do anything criminal to get revenge. Let the legal system do their thing even though it may not have the outcome you expect. I had bikes stolen years ago, got one of them back and had the names of everyone involved. Even caught one guy selling my bike and he gave up the names. They were career criminals and drug addicts. The police never arrested anyone. The bikes crossed state lines and there were multiple police depts. involved but they just didn't give a sh**
