I don't care either way what happened, but if you watch the Vital MX press day video with Michael Lindsay and go to the YouTube settings and play the Sexton crash at the slowest setting it kind of looks like he didn't pull the clutch in. And he had a few bizarre false neutrals on the Honda that resulted in him going over the bars. And the whole alleged struck throttle on the KTM where he launched across the start straight because a "rock" got stuck in the throttle body. The rear brake crashes at Ironman. The dead sailor quad...

In hoppers latest vid, he talks to Dan at kawi... he basically said tapping rear brake with no clutch caused it... he also said no issues with the bike... Now it's up to lewis to get chase's side of the story...

And yet Marchbanks is doing just fine.... Please someone make it make sense. How is one Kawi rider making the bike look like a death trap while the other is having a career year?

It's not necessarily the rules either. Yamaha's factory 450 effort in the US was pathetic, and they had horrible results before Star Racing took over. I would bet a lot of money that Kawasaki is currently in a similar predicament with their 450 effort and they don't REALLY know the best way to set up the bike for their riders, in spite of what they tell the media. Some riders like Eli, Jett, and Roczen know how to set up a bike without the team's assistance. Chase clearly doesn't have that skill, so whatever base tune the team has for...

It may have been his mistake, who knows, but regardless his mind clearly isn't in it with that bike. it's extremely difficult for these guys to go the pace they do without a certain amount of feeling and trust in their bikes. " Am I not allowed to brake tap now either" sounds like a hangover from the arguments he must be having privately with the team, probably (if Mitch Evans is correct) in regard to how they want him to ride the bike and change his style in other ways.

Yes you can stall them in the air by jabbing the rear brake and not pulling the clutch in.

And we probably will never get the true story what happened. Chase was vague because he would most likely get reprimanded by Kawi, and Kawi, especially at these times would never admit that the bike quit on him. That was another brutal hit that he bounced up from. Chase Norris?!

That motor didn't grenade. If a motor grenades mid-air the bike has a pretty violent reaction and that didn't really happen here. He also reportedly rode the bike back to the pits and you aren't riding a bike that just exploded the motor.

I can't believe he got up after that and was able to walk off to the side of the track! It was a terrible crash to happen but Im glad it was caught on camera, if it wasn't and we just got news Chase was out this weekend due to a press day crash I feel like the pitch forks would have been flying. Nice to see most people here supporting the dude for change, it gets old seeing so many here kicking a dude while he's down and struggling to make things happen.

That sure looks like the bike died when he tapped the brake.

It’s press day, the track is smooth as glass. And I hardly doubt he forgot where he was a motocross track he probably has 300 plus laps on. This is not SX where he jumping in to a 3 - quad- step on double with a 3’ transfer in between each obstacle for only a few laps.

Yep, Reed’s rear hit a rock or kink in the rut and kicked sideways. He was doomed by half way up the jump face.

Nothing like the chadapult imo; Reedy’s bike broke loose on the jump face and pitched him. That’s not what happened here.
