What pisses me off is that most of the constructive criticism has been almost constant and very similar for years, and yet they still will not make the small and easy to implement adjustments from the people who reliably pay for it and watch it year after year. Most of the changes, like in this thread, don't require much, if any, extra time or money. Just a little bit of willingness to listen and give a fuck and accept that maybe they don't know best and try to give people what they want. But nah...

This! We had already seen the replay of Plessenger slamming into Sexton's downed bike and the smashed tank after it was removed between motos. Then I think it was during the 450 LCQ we had to see it again. Maybe I have anger issues but here I am yelling at the TV "We already saw this dammit! Get back to the action you idiots!" My goodness it's not Rocket Surgery

Even if he wasn't a moto fan before getting the gig, don't you think he should've gotten better at producing Supercross and Motocross over the years? It's like no one ever sits down with him to explain the problems, what needs to be shown, what's important, what's not important, what needs to improve, etc. Stick an ex-pro/retired pro in the trailer as a consultant and let them help guide the broadcast. Hell, just having a guy in there to watch Livetiming and point out that one of the big name riders is falling down the order at a rapid pace...

I knew he was around for quite some time, but I’m guessing that he wasn’t a moto fan before his time producing it began. I don’t think he has a clue what the fans want to see, but I also understand that he has to satisfy the suits.

You would think with all the experience he has listed he would have a clue about what is important to show. Guess not. I get they have stuff they need to do for sponsors and all that and I am sure it’s not that easy to stay on top of all the action and where to cut to when the race is live but how can he not know the whole purpose of the heat is who finished top 9.

In corporate America, incompetent people get promoted to positions of higher responsibility.

In practice/qualifying it's even worse than the night show. A rider will be on a heater and they'll move away from him to watch the previous fast guy just roll around.

Does anybody know what Bondo did previously? Is he a moto guy that “knows” TV production or is he a random TV guy that was tasked with moto? I can’t help but think that a die hard fan would have much better insight as to what people actually want to see on the broadcast.

I appreciate what we get for sure. But I wish they would do as you ask as well as.. Instead of zooming in tight on riders, pan back in order to see more of the track as well. They also seem to stay on one rider for a super long time. This seems to happen during practice mostly. Not sure if it's different camera peeps?. But seems like it's like this every year.

Bondo has only been at this for 15+ years. Give him time. RJ/McAdoo battle and the cameramen pans away. How many people would've been fired from their job if they hadn't got better at it?

Amazing, the broadcast team is better than what we get with SX. Heat, semi, LCQ, main. High drama when 2 of the top 5 take the long road. Hopefully it's a wake up call for Feld.

Whoops into a 180 just before the finish line - good for racing Long rhythm lane - good for racing A lot of 180's - good for racing It's not spectacular on paper but should make for good racing. Also, the riders and mechanics on the starting line are going to be roosted hard by that sweeper!

The sadist in me likes to see long starts lol.

Looks a hell of a lot better than the A1 track layout and that worked out beautifully... Both whoops sections at A1 were less than 9 whoops so I will gladly take 13. Long start... and longer rhythms look to allow more options. Should provide good racing. 90% of the time split sections don't work anyway.

Legitimate Whoop Section? Check The usual combos/rhythm sections? Check The Obligatory 4X Triples run? Check Looks like the typical modern SX track, to me.

Hope the track is built and not too wet. Whoops leading to the finish could be interesting.

Go to YouTube and type in "Wild Magoo". You'll find it in at least 2 formats, the 1plus hour version or the 7(?) part version. Sit back, and take it all in, young ( I assume ) man ( once again, I'm assuming things). It is fantastic!
