He was the first “Fastest Man on the Planet”, before James. Dude was just awesome to watch. I was about 7 or 8 when saw him race at E street in Marysville. It left a lasting impression on a young MX obsessed kid.

Ryde TV has a live stream for $5.99/mo plus tax. They also stream EnduroCross

Any way to watch the night show?

Not the Jordan Smith you are thinking of.

Final qualifying results.

32 made the night show. ONLY 12 will make the main events.

How many get through?

I went to Oakland last year and that city might be the biggest dump in the US.

Well, I would rather watch a dry race in the future during what was going to be an off-weekend, than a mudder this weekend. Delayed gratification my friends.

Bring back a weekday race! That made me so happy when they were doing those, makes the week a ton of fun. I combined my gym session with the race one night and tried to match the motos in length and mimic the intensity of a ride based on HR data. A weeknight could work, especially before another California race since the travel distance is not too bad or hectic.

This is what happens when you have almost all of the first 5 races in the same state....STOP GOING TO CALIFORNIA SO MUCH. I guarantee all my downvotes are from CA. Its just facts people. Open stadiums don't agree with mother nature.

California as a whole is one big state of emergency

It will for sure be built different. Similar to what they’ve done for Seattle SX some years back.

The video may be well made, but it’s extremely biased and cringeworthy. The American fans were pumped to have him here. I was there and nobody was upset about Herlings “smoking the Americans” that I saw. All those quotes are probably from Europeans with disdain for the USA or it’s MX scene who thoroughly enjoyed the ridiculous storyline.

What if you're wrong? What if it's this guy?

Yes. The 1974 St. Charles, MO round of the Trans AMA series was canceled by Edison Dye because he refused to turn over the purse money to the AMA before the race. It was muddy, there were few spectators, and he said he would lose more money if the race was held than if it were canceled. Subsequently he was black balled from the sport by the AMA and the "father of US motocross" basically disappeared from the scene until Tom White recognized him with a ceremony at the Glen Helen Walk of Fame in the early 2000's. https://www.socalmxnews.com/page2.php?recordID=50&VolIssueID=1

Not cancelled, but Oakland SX was postponed for 1 week back in 1980 due to heavy rain and flooding. They were going to have a sportsman race the next day, but it was cancelled too. I had actually qualified to race the amateur event, paid my entry fees and everything and the sob's never refunded anyone a dime.
