I mean "all round". Titles may not be as relevant cross discipline talent. Example: Pastrana, Huffman, Dietrich, Ty Davis, etc.

Does anyone understand the logic behind the this? Why shouldn't a 250 go against a 250 regardless of engine type? When the 450 was introduced riders were forced to ride them because they were suddenly at a huge disadvantage if they didn't. But they can't run a 250 against a 250f because suddenly others would be at a huge disadvantage...

How quickly will people jump on the "paper champion" train with Stewart and Reed's absence? I always found that unfortunate. Reed's titles in SX 04, 08 and MX 09, Langston in MX 07, etc. It negates what is still an incredible accomplishment most people could only dream of. Agreed. Not to take anything away from anyone but keep in mind Reed had to face and beat RC in his rookie season and Dungey's top competition was out with injury. This doesn't make Dungey's title hollow by any means, but every season is different.

Keep in mind that it is at each every rider's discretion how they will attack the obstacles. If they feel a certain triple is too dangerous they can double single. It's slower of course but safer. I'm not arguing anything. And I know its been an ongoing debate of 2s vs 4s and there's a ton of material swearing by one over the other. I'm just trying to understand the contradiction of the rule.
