10/27/2024 4:11am I race KTMs off road (currently on a 22 250xcf) and honestly all I do is keep up with basic maintenance. I think I’m around 150 hrs on the original clutch and topend. I had the valves and compression checked at 80 hrs and where fine.. i was thinking about getting 25 but there is really is no reason as the bike still feels extremely tight and is not showing wear. I was a lifetime Kawi guy but I have say this Austrian stuff is pretty damn solid.

10/23/2024 12:28pm Yeah the economy is trash AND: Your bike is specific and drawing from a smaller pool of potential buyers than a motocross bike. 1.That thing has a headlight, so you're eliminating all buyers that want a MX bike. 2.Remaining smaller group of Enduro riders are again split: racers / recreation. Rec riders want a 2 stroke because they have wet dreams about riding hard enduro. So you are selling only to people that compete in off road races. 3.350 might be a great bike but if you're under 30 your ego won't let you give up 100cc's Timing Your over...

10/21/2024 11:50am I have a KTM 350 and the parts absolutely cost more (probably double the money for an engine rebuild) but it also lasts a lot longer than my friends bikes, they all ride Yamaha and Kawi's. They rebuild engines every 50-60 hours and Im on one rebuild at 200 hours, and its not because I'm neglecting it either. If its worth anything I asked Twisted their opinion when I did the rebuild and they told me when it comes to the Austrian bikes stick with OEM if durability and longevity is what you're looking for because everyone else is still...

10/19/2024 4:34pm Finding the right bar and grip it’s important. I always run the thin grips (no waffle) from Renthal.. As mentioned above- warm up is important. I’ll do a couple easy laps and come in and relax for a bit. Then head out and hit it harder and rarely get much arm pump..

10/18/2024 3:32am I can second on the quality part. I dont have any personal experience with the newer stuff tho, but i know that the SX i got, has always worked like a charm. I will probably pull the trigger on a nice exc 250 2t example. There are alot of good suspension shops in the southern part of sweden, and i bet that when they open the memory drawer of this genereration of ktm's, theyll probably got a good reciepe for the suspension!

10/17/2024 8:57pm My worst one that im not proud of at all. I was working for a factory rider and at Redbull Straight Rythm, in either 2015 or 2016 we made a fork change during the day. Rider goes out for practice and does a run or two and comes and says something in the front end feels fucked. Check some things out and find out I left the two caliper mounting bolts loose. They were hanging on by a thread, literally. I pride myself on my work and I cant imagine what would happen if the front caliper wrapped up in...

10/17/2024 8:56pm It's nice to read other people stories...you don't feel so bad about your own anymore! Mine was I had loosen all the top triple clamps bolts because I wanterd to tighten the steering stem before going riding. Sometime during the process my neighbor drives in so we just start talking. I get to the track, unload the bike and do a lap or two to warm up . I come back to the pit thinking damn something feels weird with my front end. Sure enough I had lost 3 of the four pinch bolts on the triple clamp and my...

10/17/2024 1:18pm My dad passed away when I was 12 years old so I had a pretty damn steep learning curve. I would hang with him in the garage but was more focused on working on my BMX bikes and skateboards at the time, dad handled dirt bikes. Top 3 fuck-ups in that first year alone were: - Had a nearly new '02 YZ125 (first big bike), thought I was doing the right thing by pulling off the rear of the bike to clean the airbox. Didn't get the air boot seated all the way around the carb, sucked dirt and blew...

10/17/2024 1:39am Everyone has done something silly more than once wrenching on bikes, let's share some tales. I may or may not have forgot after a late night in the garage to put the rimlock back in my 450 rear wheel and rode for a minute or two before proceeding to rip the stem off the tube. 😑😂

10/13/2024 3:16am Time for both sides of the pond to eliminate grates and starting devices. Packing your gate and getting a holeshot used to be an art form. Now its robotic especially when you couple in electronics.

10/4/2024 10:00pm With all the options for KYB suspension on the Austrian 350's, I don't see nearly as much benefit to the Yamaha. Yes, the suspension set up is $$$, but the end result bike is nearly perfect. You can make the current model 350s into just about any set up you can think of. Want a little more power? Get an exhaust, ECU, and use the air box cover with holes. Want the plush KYB suspension, just order it and put it on. Fantastic machines. Super fun to ride.

9/22/2024 1:03pm I think they will make it better each year, lets give them a chance to tweak it and it will get better. Few positive things. 1. More riders ride MX and that is huge. 2. Big money for riders and not just first place. 2. Good for the TV package. 4. Work for the announcers. 5. Jett can buy another car, LOL
