Swan had 30,000 people at the Pro Challenge last year in the middle of Covid. The facility is excellent and could hold a national. You can see the whole track from the grandstands. I have only been to Cycle Ranch once and don’t know how the facility is now but the track was epic. The problem with Freestone is you can’t see the track to watch the race and it is in the middle of no where. I stopped going because it was a better experience on tv. It is good for an amateur national but not good for viewing...

The drone shots are really cool and it gives a brand new perspective to the racing. It’s good to see the TV production crew experimenting with new things. If I could mention one improvement, I think they need to speed a little bit more on the drone camera and and upgrade to a better version. I will say the the picture feed was just a little bit “amateurish” compared to the normal cameras. The clarity and resolution needs to be a wee bit better to be on National TV.

Agreed, I cant see the riders technique which is part of why I watch. Also have a hard time telling who I'm even looking at. Personally I could go without, or a very very little.

I enjoyed it when it got behind the riders, like when it went under the banner. Thought that was pretty cool. Plus I feel it gives a bit more perspective on the difficulty of some of the rhythm sections.

I usually put that foil looking cooling tape on the underside of my tank. Never had fuel boil and my crf runs HOT here in Las Vegas.

Maybe tighten fuel caps correctly and ensure that vent lines are not blocked and routed correctly. A requirement for low vapour pressure fuel might help and mechanics checking that aftermarket exhaust pipes are not fuel tank/line/injector heaters. So sensible mechanical preparation. It gets hot in summer.

Two riders have had fuel spray on them in two consecutive races. I don't recall hearing about this before. Is it the tanks being closer to heat sources? Thinner tank materials? The heat? All the above? Not the hottest races ever. The perfect storm could occur soon. Someone could be seriously injured or killed at a race. Whatever it is, something urgent needs to be done to make sure we are not discussing a tragedy real soon.

I live in SD and have been to Pala a bunch. It really isn't a pretty facility man. I used to live in Portland, OR and ride at Washougal, which is absolutely beautiful. The track at Pala is fun, and we'll maintained. But it's a very desolate and barren landscape with no shade for the fans at all. I struggle to see why you're defending against that. There are beautiful deserts (Joshua tree, anzo borrego, etc) but Pala is not in one of them. That said I will go anywhere they hold MX in socal. I went to lake Elsinore...

The race was in September because of COVID, just like Hangtown this coming weekend. They do not pay an exorbitant fee. Unlike Florida and Texas, the fans (and industry) still come out when it's really hot. We tried nationals in Texas and Florida but they don't work in the time frame of late May to late August. And please remember that Glen Helen is not on the schedule because they canceled their round of the series and asked to be take off the schedule. Twice. We moved on. Twice. We're just trying to get to the finish line now in...

I was thinking the same thing. Out of all the beautiful tracks and top notch facilities in this country, it blows my mind that we have to watch 2 rounds at that shitbag parking lot track.

While Swan (that Ferrandis' coach DV said should have a national) lines up big gates full of heat resistant Texans all summer long. Great track. Prickly owner. The problem is not the lack of willing promoters, people that would write the necessary checks or the weather. It's just getting the planets to align all at the same time..

A proud day indeed for the French Nation and even the Frenchies up North....ala Maverick and his boys. Dylan is one helluva character and is a great ambassador to the sport of MX and SX. Me too we all got rigs with abs you probably got to order one without it. But we in the know don't want nothing interfering with our brakes. Or have had to replace wheel brgs and deal with the brg gap to senior. But this guy gave a rad detailed explanation thank you abs is traction control but other way I'll stop
