We love our rm, my little brother rode the bike a ton, been on a 125 for 2 years and at the start of the year he wanted a final run in mini sr2 and supermini so we threw a bike today, blew up first lap of practice at spring a ding, got it back together for regionals and couldn’t get to race, But so much fun Are they as good as a ktm? Dean at R&D can make that motor scream but it'll still probably only be as fast as a stock Austrian bike also Jeff at Bill's pipes can build a good motor if Dean is busy! Biggest thing to watch out for is the frame if you're getting off the ground the frames going to break had to switch Brands after four bikes in one year that includes gussets and Welding LOL

if your concerned about his training, maybe need to look at his strava, he puts in more work than his teammates, his riding mates and all. Hes a psychopath on Strava, 4,5,6 hour rides. Hes in shape.

How about 2 practice sessions on Saturday, top 15 seeded in then the next 40 from P1&2 have a 6 lap qualifying race top 25 make it. National on on Sunday. I know a lot of people who could make it to more nationals if they were on sunday still. Shit i have a hard time just making Red bud an hour away on Saturday some years due to business.

Qualifying by lap times on a track that changes every lap has to be one the dumbest Nascar-ey rule changes ever. Just drop the gate and race to qualify and get gate picks. Nevermind I forgot I'm a dinosaur who wants to watch races not "Heater laps"

I've done a lot of things in the industry, and one of the most cherished moment's I have is sitting next to Larry announcing the Houston SX in the late 80's early 90's. He was so gracious and taught me so much. I still use some of his lines to this day when I announce a race. Along with being the greatest SX/MX announcer of all time, he was an awesome person.

Bummer. He was the best announcer at Costa Mesa speedway back when it was on Friday nights. So many classic one liners “You win a years supply of condoms, ONE” ! “What’s the worlds fastest animal” ? “A dog running through Garden Grove” “More slippery than a mayonnaise sandwich” “On him like a dog on a piece of meat” He’d get the crowd riled up with the “Huffman Hop” on top of the announcers table, what a classic character. RIP.

Saw that earlier today. Sad. Didn’t realize he was 83, seemed way younger. As a wannabe announcer myself, he was an Idol of mine for a long time. Larry Naston too. RIP supermouth

When I first started racing Loretta’s it wasn’t near as expensive. I live 40 miles away and could go home at night if I wanted to. You used to go together and get one camping pass, but now you must buy one even if you stay in a motel or go home in my case. I’m too old and slow to go now and I’m not sure I would go if I could qualify. I had one top ten there and got a plaque that I wouldn’t take anything for, but local races gives out better awards.

To race LL in 91 I spent roughly $1000 by the time you add up all the expenses of going to the area, regional and LL.
