I don't worry about that as much as what will happen with the industry, when all of the engine tuning and aftermarket parts do not have a place anymore. A lot of positives come with electric (less noise and emissions, which is good for places to ride) but just not sure if it will be good when there is way less aftermarket and companies that are involved/investing in the sport.

We probably need to know more about the "verbal and physical altercation". Could have been an over-zealous rent-a-cop, or it could have been a guy with a family of his own that was attacked for just doing his job. Sad either way that two grown men allowed a trivial encounter to escalate to a point someone felt the need to use deadly force.

As owner of GPF I feel I should speak up but careful with what I say as we are now being sued for a deal going wrong that was not our fault. This deal was in the works for all of 9 months. Nobody will buy it if it was unchanged. KTM's 450 was winning championships so they went ahead and fixed it until it was fucked, now it's Yamahas turn. But since the press release includes words like "all new, compact, horsepower, lightweight, torsional rigidity, rider triangle" everyone will run out and buy one. But seriously I hope it's competitive next year. Shimoda could be the guy to beat on 250.

Where would he go though? With his Red Bull deal it's pretty hard... eliminates Kawi, Husky, Star, obviously not going back to Honda..you think hed go back to KTM? I bet he stays right where he is. He meshes with that Suzuki..why leave?

The money came from NBC because MX Sports and Feld came together selling the whole season as a package with the creation of the ill worded playoffs by the request of NBC. It was literally new money this year because of that NBC TV deal. It’s a 5 year contract so this will continue for at least another 4 years. How many times do people have to be told this?

I still cannot believe the fact that people thought he wouldn’t be competitive on this bike. Suzukis are great. They’ve just been missing a top rider since Ken left. Can’t wait for 2024!

Not going to be Honda. They have zero budget. Will be a bright color and looking at a second rider. One that has surprised many factory riders this year. Stay tuned. Its in the very early stages. A former #14 might be involved too.

No its not a factory bike. Suzuki doesnt have a "factory bike" at this time. HEP bikes are all production based they do there own testing and are free to pretty much run whatever they want. Such as suspension if they want to run Showa up front and KYB in back or vise-versa they have there own suspension guy and Twisted Development is building the motors. there is pretty much nothing on KRs bike that is "factory" hell even his hubs are oem. maybe Brake calipers are factory. Kindo goes to show you how good that bike can be.

I’m going to say that the pie is what it is…more brands means each company gets a smaller piece of that pie…doesn’t mean they all can’t survive, just means they will all sell less bikes. Now, there might be a ducati or triumph fan, who otherwise would never buy a dirt bike, that will purchase one just because those brands made one…but I think that will be an incredibly small number of people.

I come from the BMX world where back in "my day" (insert old man emoji) there were a handful of brands and the pro's were paid well with the amateurs being supported well too. Then came more brands. At first it was great because their start up or opening budgets supported additional riders...but then reality hits after year two or three as they come to find out the pie had not grown, but the slices just smaller. Then he should've done that and not gone on the podium afterwards saying he gave him the win as a gift. Remember, this didn't benefit anyone (including Jett) and only made the integrity of the sport look bad. To let him off without at least a warning when there's a clear rule against doing what he did would be seen as favoritism. You can skirt the rule through optics, just don't make it obvious and then brag about it on the podium.
