People underestimate the number of families that are there for fun, not trying to squeeze any juice. We used to rent a motorhome for the week, and we split the cost with another family that stayed in town and just pitted with us. If someone drove by our pit they would probably think we were "balling", unless they noticed the 3 rail trailer that hauled my tired YZ125 to Tennessee. It was no more expensive for us to travel to LL's than it would have been to go to Mini O's, Mammoth, etc. I feel sorry for the kids that...

Observation from Ohio : You should name your kid Landin, Landen, Landon, Landun or Landing if you are serious about getting him/her to Loretta’s.

Lot of people in the amateur ranks trying to fake it til they make it. Those that do make it to the point of being a back of the pack privateer have enough sense by then to know where to put their resources. They know they aren't fooling anyone with a fancy setup at that level.

Sounds like a great story to be told with the Cole Martinez program... I respect the families that keep moto fun. The LL dance is a cool achievement, but this sport is so small, and so few riders make a good living, why do parents push their kids so hard to chase this path? Even if they are a good rider, it's so damn expensive. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Think of the alternative moto memories you could create for life with significantly less time and money investment, without the insane pressure to perform because mom and dad sold...

ET21 has been a blast to watch. Railing outside and late moto speed reminds me of ET3 or BB4!!

Probably no time for a full rerun in the already packed schedule. Add lightning delay and they would be creating a bigger issue for themselves. It's also three moto format so you can't really complain that losing 10 minutes of race time decided your week.

I raised two great kids but I also have helped alot of kids over the years. I hold " ride days " at my house for kids, I sponsor some local kids. I do free riding schools and I have trained alot of great kids that really look up to me. "My kids" in total have 8 virginia state championships and Kylee was the full gas sprint enduro national champ.the last Pic is when I surprised him with a new bike. Sorry to brag but helping kids mean alot to me

My wife and I were invited to the American Music Awards in 1988 by a friend that produced it for ABC. Got to go back stage and talk to Smokey Robinson for a long time, great human. I’ve done a myriad of things that might be noteable. But any of them and $2.50 buys coffee. The only people I am famous or special to, are my kids.
