Finally remembered to snap a couple pics of my shop. It’s 20x22’. Trying to dedicate it 100% to bikes. Unfortunately when you move your stuff from your parents garage, your buddies garage, your basement etc. All into one space… you realize quickly how much shit you have 😂 Still need to do some tidying and bike-moving-around-ing, but there’s 3 feet of snow outside that’s blocking that from happening. One thing i would like to emphasise is culture. Australia is different to USandA. Sport is important to grow social skills and discipline but family is first. Itll be fine and ill still be at Bunnings after the race to get a snag and another fucking indoor plant for the misso.

I didn't really track detailed costs. Facility fee was $878 Class entry $250 Processing fees like 53 bucks No pit vehicle pass -- we used our feet Hotel was actually $272 total after using points for 3 free nights Gas about $350 -- van gets great mpg but takes premium fuel Food another $150 or so -- we packed snacks/water and basically lived off that Amish store and their awesome sandwiches. I had one of the most simple and economical LL I've ever had this year. And ironically it's the only time I've ever actually gotten in the program and raced! Showed up on Sunday evening and pulled into a little spot off the road up on stagecoach hill and setup a canopy. Had a bunch of Best Western hotel points saved up, so staying the week in a hotel cost us $260 total. Tossed the bike in the Metris van and drove from Ohio getting 25mpg. Its all about making memories. I was a single dad from the start. Took both my son and daughter to mx and bmx races, camped, kayaked, boated and stayed busy. Just today I got a random text from my daughter about certain things we did and how she missed it. Both her and my son thank me frequently for all the fun we had. Good timing on this thread… I just bought a Maverick (ecoboost) yesterday. The only reason I need a truck is to haul my dirt bike and do some light duty house work. I traded in my beloved ‘21 Sierra 1500 because I drive over 20,000+ miles a year and the 16.5 mpg was getting pretty old. It’s a bit of a downgrade (I friggen loved that Sierra), but I was all smiles on the way to work when I saw this:
