I hate getting old but I'm very thankful to have been a teenager in the 70s. Started racing MX in 72. Had a 1969 Camaro in HS with an Sanyo 8 Track player (had a case in the back seat with 24 8 tracks). You could ride in any open field and nobody complained. And there were a lot of dirt bikes in the 70s. No internet, no social media. Just riding dirt bikes, hanging out with friends and listening to rock. Life was good.

ive got some titanium bolts but the bigger things are what I like. In this pic I have a 1744 creations Ti cone pipe and some Nihilo Ti billet pegs. Not in this pic I have a Pro circuit Ti2 pipe and Titanium subframe from the factory team

I have no problems with the penalties but if you have that many red cross/red light jumping violations there is something systemic going on and it should be looked at internally to understand why.

Not a chance, but my last reality check was in late 1987 at Blythe raceway for the Western States Memorial (the race to honor Bruce Bunch, Rick Hemme, and Kyle Fleming). I was racing 250 pro class, got to the gate early, and then had Broc Glover line up on one side, and Doug Dubach on the other side.... About 10' out of the gate was the last time I saw them, just wish someone got a picture to show I was there for a moment.

I tried my hands at Unadilla, budds creek, southwick, red bud 2, Ironman and WW. As someone else mentioned earlier. I’m also not a one lap speed person so never made it. Was a surreal experience. Also did Canada and qualified skin of my teeth at times but best finish was a 26th in the 450s up there. Goes to show it’s not always about a speed you can’t maintain.
