Kinda feels like the same scenario we faced in the early 70's.
5-10 International riders in a field of Americans and we're all hoping for that one GUY to step up and beat them. Maybe it's time to bring back the Top American designation for each race.😎 That used to be highly prestigious when we were a developing motocross country.
At least the guys out front (the rabbits, err, Lawrences) aren't disliked like Pierre Karsmakers was when he raced the Nationals in 1973 and the AMA came up with a rule for the next year to keep him from being able to collect points and championships.🤣
In all seriousness, I'm all for the International guys migrating to our series. It can only make us faster. Hopefully.

As an American I root hard for the US during MXDN. Other than that I don’t care who wins on Saturday as long as the racing is good. The best American rider who’s healthy (and I might add hasn’t raced for his country at an MXDN ever) I’d rather see lose every race right now anyway. It’s weird how some US fans are really bothered by euros coming here and doing well. Maybe we should figure out why and do better.

All the foreign riders fit right in. I root for them just as much as the Americans...they are just so damn likeable and respectful.
