Yes you want a motocross bike. There is no such thing as an "FMX" bike that you can buy. They are simply motocross bikes that are modded for freestyle (airbox cut out, etc). 250 2 stroke is going to be your best bet for your price range. I think if they did this they would be winning the MX shootouts and they would be a killer bike...it seems like the only complaint anyone has with them is the suspension

Woahh...really off topic...but that is super ironic you mentioned Will Topete...I met that guy on MX vs ATV on Xbox Live hahaha he ended up making me a set of graphics for my Leatt Brace years ago...chill guy!

It is hard to go wrong either way...I rode the 13 Honda and it is a great bike. Sounds like you need to sell that thing and get something else...2006 was a huge problem year for those Honda's...all sorts of valve and intake issues...most likely what is causing your starting issue. I personally wouldn't touch the 06-08 Honda 250s with a 10 foot pole. Your best bet is to save up and buy something that is in good...

Does it matter where you measure from? I was going to measure from the middle of the axle to a convenient spot on the fender. The manual says from the seatbolt to the chain adjuster bolt, but with the dual exhaust that isn't really practical.
