I'm not sure what's more surprising...seeing Davi Millsaps back on a bike, or him being on an orange one.

Wil Topete posted this up on Instagram... Give him a follow. (http://instagram.com/dagsom)

Good for KTM. Looks like Davi dwarfs that bike though! Glad to see Makita back in the game as well.

Since Suzuki wouldn't give them bikes, they lost a good rider! (and team)

KTM came through with a good deal. Way to step up!

KTM suddenly has 5 guys capable of top 10 finishes and 2 of winning. This might be considered a hostile takeover. I'm sure the new Husky effort will spawn a US based team in the near future as well since it's going to be MX centered.

But this also confirms 2 rumors at once. Rockstar is going KTM and Davi is staying.

Hmmmm, Not sure about this one but I guess you ride whatever you get paid to ride. So much for Reed on a pumkin. Sure does seem like that front end has a massive rake to it.

My main question with this is will he be as gnarly through the whoops!

I assume he will be and if anything he'll help develop KTMs suspension even better since he's so boss through the whoops in general.

The more top tier riders on orange, the more development progress they can make. I'm a fan of this move.

Dammit...I don't think Davi should have changed anything but his leg. Now he has one more thing to get used to. All the bikes are good, but they all favor different riders and styles. That Suzuki sure worked well with Davi...let's hope the KTM does also.

Decided to try something new this year. Got his bike setup from Vital's finest.

Happy for Davi and the Rockstar team, however a little disheartened that Suzuki wouldn't step up to the plate some... Sad day for Suzuki fans.

Let's give all the free bikes to some amateur kids so we won't have any to give the pros! Sounds like a plan....

The Suzuki worked just as well for Dungey .....I think the KTM is the closest in the way it performs to a Suzuki

Last I heard Suzuki support in the amateur ranks is just about non existent.

However I do kind of agree with you when it comes to the other manufacturers.

Bobby Hewitt announces Rockstar Energy Racing Team to Compete on KTM Motorcycles
August 14, 2013 - For Immediate Release

Corona, CA – Bobby Hewitt's Rockstar Energy Racing (RER) Team, is pleased to announce it has signed a three-year contract with KTM Motorsports for its team to race aboard KTM motorcycles in both the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross Championship Series. The team will make its KTM debut on October 19, 2013 at the Monster Energy Cup.

President and Team Owner, Bobby Hewitt, expressed his enthusiasm for the announcement, stating, “As a satellite team, we will always be the little engine that could, but having the support of KTM is a huge advantage. We are delighted and grateful to race KTM motorcycles and eagerly excited for the opportunity to utilize KTM’s new Factory Services program. This will be a very exciting venture for our team.”

The KTM brand has had great success over the past two seasons capturing both 450 and 250 Motocross and Supercross class wins. Both KTM and RER strive to continue to improve the overall race results and exposure gained in professional racing. Through KTM’s Factory Service Program, which allows racers and support teams the opportunity to purchase the same engine and suspension components as the factory team, the RER Team will have the platform it needs to deliver the results that the team, it’s riders and it’s sponsors are looking to achieve.

For 2014, RER will continue to support Davi Millsaps as its premier 450 Supercross and Motocross class rider. It will also field a two-man lites team with returning rider Jason Anderson as well as the 2013 Rookie of the Year, Joey Savatgy. The title sponsor will remain with Rockstar Energy Drink and the remainder of the 2013 season sponsors will return to support the team for the 2014 season.

Team rider, Millsaps, commented, “I believe with my team’s support and my dedication to training that I can win on the KTM. I am excited for this new opportunity and am expecting another great season as I contend for the championship.” His teammate, Anderson, added to his statement, explaining, “I raced KTM’s for my last few years as an amateur and really loved the motorcycles. I am happy with the team’s decision to switch to KTM’s and I feel the bikes will be a good fit for me this season. I hope to put the KTM on the box at the opening round in Anaheim.”

This is not to say its a done deal correct? I haven't seen a press realease. He could be testing to see if its a good combo. I believe he has an "opt out" clause in his contract if Rockstar changes manufacturers.
Does anyone know?
