His contract with KTM does not end till December 2021 so, he will be on a KTM till then. After that, it is a guessing game. I know the rumors are that he is going to Star, but I would think KTM would have to be nuts to not sign him to KTM, Husky, or GasGas. KTM has invested so much money into him to just let him walk.

Yamaha has the best 250 program right now. If he gets an offer id be taking it. Especially with how KTM keeps swapping these kids out after 1 or 2 bad seasons

As someone in attendance I can say he 100% brought a ton more fun to an event that was already pretty spectacular, everyone went nuts when he pulled the classic boner air. People can hate all they want but watching him in person was fun as hell and everyone was beyond stoked to have him there, especially the kids.

Lots of people getting hauled out of unadilla this weekend. I made the trip from Ohio and left with a dislocated shoulder (not the tracks fault but another rider) I don't think the track is to blame for most of these - but watering the first turn moments before the gate drops is a pretty bonehead move. The track was super fast this weekend with very few ruts but some massive bomb hole breaking bumps that could really catch you off guard if you didn't see them. I tend to lean towards the rip it deep and slow people down...

i don't think deegan did anything intentional on the jump itself. i believe he screwed up the corner prior from jacking around with janik then had no gusto for clearing the camel jump.....started looking so he wouldn't get landed on.....then boom got landed on.

I always find comparing different career paths of riders is pointless. Guadagnini who held the red plate at one point rode 125’s two years ago as a 17 year old. Meanwhile Jett Lawrence was on a 250 at 14. Many wondered what the hell Vohland was doing and it has worked out pretty good so far. Meanwhile Dax Bennick (who is the same age as Deegan?) has been on big bikes for ages since he hit his growth spurt about at the same time he was born. Roczen and Herlings both jumped to EMX250 straight from 85’s and to MX2...

At this stage in the game, Deegan's resources are more than likely no different than Cochran's. They're both factory supported minicycle racers with access to factory minicycle parts & mechanics, and they both get travel/bike stipends from their factories (I seem to remember someone saying mid-six figures for AC), plus gear and personal sponsorship money. Maybe they got into the sport at different financial levels, but I doubt Brian is putting as much money into Haiden's amateur career as some of you think he is (same goes for Cochran).

I think we may try to compare apples with oranges. Deegan was pretty small for his age until about 3 months ago. I also don't think that is called sandbagging or cherry picking when the whole program for the year is quite decided much earlier (along with sponsors). I also remember him racing supermini like 2 years ago in sx, finishing 2nd behind Reynolds so they are not afraid to compete against the best and take that as a learning. In 125 he would be top 3 probably, in B too, in A, not sure, probably top 3 to top...
