sending out my forks today for kyb conversion. After talking to a few guys it sounds like a no brainer. One racer I talked to just replaced his 6500 for the kyb and was general pissed that he spent all of last season racing with the 6500 when he could have had the kyb set up instead, his words. My bike is being set up for baja, not sure who much better it is for moto.

I got impatient. I’m in Utah for work, saw a dealership had one, didn’t tack on too many fees, so I rented a truck and went and snagged it. $11,289 plus tax. $10,299 MSRP, $695 destination. $295 set up. No tariffs or doc fee. Quietest motocross bike I’ve ever heard, sounds like a XR100. Have a pipe on the way, and will be shipping suspension off to Enzo before I ride it. Will report back in a few weeks.

3M Safety Walk is as good as it gets. If you clean the surface with alcohol or acetone it helps. Apply the tape using a heat gun and roller, it will resist peeling up far better. Ultimately grip tape just doesn't last long on a motocross bike.

The skateboard tape will wear the shit out of your boots extremely fast. Ace Hardware sells the grey rubberized anti-slip tape by the foot, $2.99 I believe, make a template and keep a few on hand. Its the same thing all these other aftermarket manufactures use and charge you out the ass for.

1st I would like to thank you to all the firefighters and 1st responders for attacking the fires as well as they have been able to. 2nd I hope all of the vitards living around LA are OK and if conditions required they were able to get out. Sadly the race will have lots of emepty seats from fans that will not be able to attend.

Parents of children need to be watchful and remove their child from a track if it becomes dangerous. Parents of minors need to set boundaries and punish their adolescents when their kid causes danger. Track owners need to spend the money and have a track worker or track Marshal on site on a track when small kids are riding. It appears that all three of these safety checks failed at once.
