MXA has really jumped up a couple notches in my book after mentioning this in their 2026 450 shootout. They were calling the F outta Kawasaki for a bunch of reliability issues too lol. I would love a reliability shootout, as a common man myself. I can't wait to buy a new Triumph MX bike in the future, once the wrinkles (big and small) get ironed out.

This article mostly applies to A riders. To the average Joe, it initially makes the Honda sound like it's not very well made, but in reality, this is how bikes wear at the A level. There's also an asterisk for whatever Honda did at 35hrs. Often the stock titanium valves will need a minor adjustment from new and then take set, so Honda may have adjusted them at 35hrs and checking them at 40hrs is more like checking them at 5hrs. I have a ‘17 500 with full FMF exhaust and smog stuff taken off. Thing has all the power I need. Torques through single track great in 2nd gear (did the ol mxa on the rear). I recently purchased a 300xcw for more single track use but enjoy the 500 on dual sport rides and feel no need to upgrade it.

SX is a totally other story as MX ofcourse, but he proved his critics wrong this year aswell, despite not winning the title. And I genuine feel like Coenen is an exceptional talent at a very young age, just like Herlings and Roczen were. Maybe those two were a little bit more talented and won more at a younger age, but I think Coenen is at their level nonetheless. Gossip goes that Coenen will race some SX next year as preparation to the GP season, that will be a good indication how he will do if he goes fulltime I...

I think he will grow into the season and get some podiums eventually. Depends a bit on the form of Coenen, Herlings, Febvre, Gajser, Renaux.. I think some people underestimate Fernandez a bit as well. He was a bit under the radar this year, but I don't think he has hit his true potential yet

it’s crazy De Wolf stay in MX2 for one more year. He’s too big for keeping sandbagging that class and has already proved what he’s able to do on a 450.

People tend to forget what Laengefelder did to de Wolf last year in Turkey.. while being way out of the Championship. So I'll give Kay a pass for his actions this weekend. Laengefelder deserved the championship though, amazing season. Obviously I would have loved to see de Wolf win it, but Laengefelder was the most consistent in a class where 10 riders could win a moto

Looks like the folding lever broke at the pivot point. You can engineer something all you want but if it gets hits just right things can break.

The Beta bike is at the moment not that bad, look at Watson. Would he do any better on another factory bike?
